Its no secret but its hardly ever crowded because it seems steeper than it is. You get to the tide pools by taking the Makapuu Ligthhouse Trail. Before you get to the top, there's a trail on the right that takes you down to the water for a quick dip. Ask me for better directions so you don't get lost.

A secret spot with an amazing view. Just be careful, tides can be rough.

This can get a bit crowded on weekends, but during the week hardly anyone is here and it is great for little kids as the tide pools are sandy and big enough to swim in.

There is a paved trail leading up to the Makapu'u lighthouse. The views here are stunning and you can catch paragliders. You can also hike down the mountain (not paved) to the tidepools.
