Sandy Beach provides recreational lakefront area facilities which include two large swimming beaches, five sand volleyball courts, single lane boat ramp, restroom facilities, playground equipment, ice rink, picnic areas and a seasonally operated restaurant/bar leased to a concessionaire. A covered picnic shelter is also available for rent. Shelter reservations can be made at City Hall, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. An entrance fee to the park is charged.

Lake Mills is a very short drive from The Ernest Inn and a local favorite for beaches, legends, and ancient ruins. If you need a place to relax on a beach this is a great local option.
