Donnell Pond is a beautiful area with a swimming beach and usuallly eagles, ospreys and other wildlife. The short hike to get there is very scenic and if you are wanting a little more of a workout, Schoodic and Black Mountain trailheads are along the way. The views atop these mountains are breathtaking.

Donnell Pond is where the locals go to swim during really hot weather. You can hike in from Schoodic or come through Franklin by car.
