The home was exactly what the pictures and the descriptions showed. The property was beautiful and we appreciated the extras like the games and access to the river. The host (David) was amazing at communicating with us how to long in, the extras of the property like back yard games, local places, and even having some condiments in the fridge. I really appreciated having the house code early and not worrying about it being sent so short to check in. David also sent a follow up message to make sure we could find the place. It was a great property to rent and he was an awesome host. I would make sure to pack mosquito spray as they are bad in the woods. It did stop us from enjoying ourselves a little bit outside.

Rustic Retreat

My boys and I only spent one evening here, and there all we needed to know we will be back. If you are looking for a quiet rustic get away, but only a short drive from some of the best beaches along Lake Michigan, this is your place. Set up home base and go out and explore. Traverse city is not too far, but aside from that there are plenty of local places to find groceries and everything you need. The Farm was comfortable, clean, and had everything we could want. WiFi, TV, all the cooking supplies, air conditioning, it was all there. There is a gigantic library of books if you love to read. Board games and more…. We enjoyed an evening of campfire and smores. The hosts are the best people and were so accommodating and friendly. Truly a great experience, we were sad we couldn’t stay longer.

Family Cabin: Up North Private 4 season retreat

We rented Ken and Jen's place for a ski trip to Crystal Mountain with our two sons, and it was a great experience. It only took us about three minutes to get to the slopes. The house was very clean and well stocked. The rooms were spacious and the living area and kitchen were well laid out and nicely decorated. No complaints at all. We will plan to stay there again!

The Still Point Farm

This rental was perfect for a large family to stay, as it sleeps 12 (including futon and couch). It was perfect for our large group attending graduation from Interlochen Arts Academy which is just 14 minutes away. The kitchen was well appointed and the house was light filled and comfortable. The views of the horses was my favorite part. The front porch was peaceful and we had an amazing time. Fire pit was nice, but we didn’t use it. Plenty of parking available. This is a great place, as long as you realize you are far from any major towns (30 mins to Traverse City). It was peaceful, clean, and perfect for us!

Spacious Betsie River Retreat near Crystal Mtn.

This property is the perfect place to stay in the Traverse City area for bigger groups! Very modern, private, has everything you need, and the slow, shallow river nearby is great for a hot summer day. Rachel and Blake are kind and responsive, and I felt the value was great as well! Next time I’m in the Traverse City area with a big group, I don’t see a reason to look for any other property because this one has everything you’d really ever want and need. Since it’s on a river, the bugs can get bad, but not a dealbreaker by any stretch. Everyone in our group was impressed and would recommend staying here again!

Stayed for a week with my wife and 4 boys. The house was comfortable with plenty of room for all of us. Great location on the river. Plenty of games and activities were offered, including a small disc golf course. I would recommend this listing.

Our 3-generational family of 12 spent a lovely time at Sam and Jesse's place. Our group included 2 grandparents, 4 parents, and 6 youth (ages 4-20). We really enjoyed the peaceful setting: plenty of room for the kids to run outside or enjoy a camp fire. Kids loved the lower level entertainment room to watch movies or play games. Adults loved spending hours in conversation on the screen porch. Plenty of space for everyone! We were a 30-45 minute drive to our different destinations, so a car was necessary. There is a gas station with a convenience store very close by for any essentials. The older generation was appreciative of the main floor master bedroom/bath, which allowed them to minimize stairs. Please note: as described by host, the house is not baby proofed and there are no doors restricting access to stairs, home gym, or game room. Therefore children do need to be properly supervised and/or good at following directions about proper use/restrictions of entertainment area and gym.
