Monthly Rentals in Thorganby

This is a really lovely cottage in a quiet setting in the countryside. I was travelling for a cycling event, and it made all the difference staying somewhere comfortable that felt like a home rather than a hotel! The resident ducks were also good entertainment!

Julian and Karen were superb hosts! This place would be best enjoyed in the warmer months to take full advantage of the beautiful garden space and heating/cooking facilities on offer. Great little bolthole. Local pub serves superb gastro food. 8 minute walk away. There are several walks in the area. We did the "3 Pint Walk" from Sutton, to Newton and via the bank of the Derwent river to Elvington and arrive back in Sutton. 3 hours. 3 pints. If you want something different from York, go South East to Beverley. This place is good for York access, though. Pocklington looks like a good option for an alternative evening for food and drink, too.

Judy provided clear and helpful instructions on how to find the place, and her local recommendations for pubs were great! The cottage itself was an absolute delight. It was spotlessly clean and Judy had made it feel so cozy and homey. The surrounding area is truly beautiful, perfect for nature walks and relaxing. Our greyhound came along with us and absolutely loved stretching her legs in the countryside and befriending Brutus, Judy's incredibly sweet and friendly terrier. It was so hard to leave and head back home. Thank you so much, Judy, for making our stay so wonderful and memorable!

Friendly, welcoming host and a beautiful place to relax. Easy driving distance to plenty of great days out, and lovely immediate surroundings to for relaxing and walking.
