Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Tōkai Region

Chie & Chris's place is located in a tiny, very quiet alley in the heart of Gion. There are several temples & shrines located within walking distance, & we found incredible restaurants nearby. They gave us clear instructions on what to tell the cab driver to get there, & self check-in was easy. The accomodations were pristinely clean. The master bedroom with a large Western style bed is upstairs, & the steps are steep which was no issue for us at all but might be for elderly, injured, or handicapped folks. My 6'5" husband had to be careful to duck under door frames because of his height but staying in a historic machiya was worth the small effort. Our 14-year-old son slept on a futon on the main level & loved it. Communication was excellent, & they gave us numerous recommendations for restaurants. There is a Lawson konbini & a grocery store close by, as well as a quaint bar across the alley. We loved being within walking distance of the action coupled with the quietness of the night.

2家族で滞在いたしました。 サウナ付、温泉付の宿ということで即決でした。 閑静な別荘地にあり、 道路はせまいものの別荘地に入りすぐのところにあるため車の不便は感じません。 ホストの方も問い合わせに対し、すぐにメッセージいただけますし、事前にいただいていたお宿マニュアルにご丁寧に写真付で説明が載ってますので、困ることはありませんでした。 以下、気になった点です。 洗面所の照明スイッチと壁の色が同化しており見つけにくかったです。他、サウナの水風呂の照明が玄関内にあり見つけるのに手間取りました。 お皿の種類がもう少しあるといいな、と思いました。 冷蔵庫が二つあるのですが、ひとつが扉の中にありわかりにくかったです。 薪がしめっていたため、着火に時間がかかりました。 が、以上をふまえても大満足です！ 乾燥機はかんたくんだし、サウナはきちんと高温ですし、敷き布団にはマットレスもついてるし、プロジェクターのスピーカーも高音質、アメニティやタオルも多めにあり、静かでアクセスもよく、言うことなしです！ここのためだけに再訪したいくらいです！ この度はありがとうございました^^

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! It’s a perfect blend of traditional Japanese style with modern comforts—spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The quiet neighborhood made it easy to relax, yet it was just a short walk to shops, restaurants, the train station, and even Fushimi Inari Shrine. The location couldn’t have been more convenient. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto!

We had a great two days stay at this townhouse. The location is perfect for beating the crowds both to the bakery on the corner, as well as the Kiyomizudera temple early in the morning. It is also a quiet and peaceful area which we really appreciated. The bathroom was squeaky clean, and even has two sinks! Definitely the biggest we had on our trip in Japan. The host was always responsive and helpful with the check in and luggage storage. They really helped make our trip run smoothly. Thanks!

Aya’s place is a no brainer if you are staying in Toyama. Very stylish place and you get exactly what you see. Amazing indoor decoration and peaceful neighborhood. Only 25 min drive to Tateyama station if you are going the next day. Highly recommended!

The house is not on a main road so it may take you a little while to find it. Thereafter everything is a breeze - near the supermarket and also the train station (Gojo). We had a comfortable stay.

this unit is superb!!! very nice and clean, responsive host, very helpful as well. I will sure return again for my next trip, it's near to train station and many eateries, good location.

Great place to stay. Very clean and spacious. Great walkable location for us. Would 100% recommend. The host gave us lots of local recommendations and we even managed to catch a local festival because of it.

Location is a bit far from sites but good that it’s not too crowded. Lots of space and two separate shower/bath facilities and toilets is nice with a family. The place was accurately described and takeshi was a great host. He gave a lot of helpful recommendations and responded quickly to questions.

Great experience. The house was clean, tidy, pretty, and relatively spacious. Can look right at the Fuji from home. Not very far from the bus station, and there are supermarkets and other restaurants within a 3 minutes walk (the host introduced them to us on the first day; she was very nice!)

室内は清潔で掃除が行き届いて、快適でしま。掛け流しの温泉も最高で、また利用させて頂きたいと思います。

敷地がとても広く、小さい子供達が遊ぶ遊具も沢山あってとても良かったです。 野生の鹿にも会えました！ お部屋の中もとても綺麗で広く、開放感たっぷりでした。 初日はあいにくの雨でしたが、部屋の中でも十分楽しむことができ、翌日は晴れたので外で思う存分遊ぶことができました。 寝室も沢山あり大人数で泊まれるので、機会があればまた利用したいです。

Yan’s place was by far the best airbnb experience. It’s big enough for 10 people. It’s complete with all the listed amenities. (more than complete actually). With free food (water, iced tea, ice cream, chips). Yan was very responsive. She also provided with free airport transfer. The nearest subway, Taiko-dori is 5-10 mins walk from her place. One stop from Taiko-dori to Nagoya Sta. The nearest Family Mart is just 2-3 mins walk. There’s a grocery/drug store nearby. It’s equipped with umbrellas. Yan was also one of the kindest hosts we had in Japan. We will definitely stay in Yan’s place when we go back to Nagoya. Thank you Yan.

完全プライベートな空間に欲しいものを全て詰め込んだ、大変贅沢な宿でした。 お部屋はとても清潔でおしゃれでした。 サウナ、ジャグジー、ウッドデッキのインフィニティチェア、大きなお風呂のクオリティと位置が完璧で、サウナ好きの私たち夫婦としては最高の体験ができました。 強いて一つ言うなら、キッチンの設備が大変充実している一方、オプションで付けられる食事はそれなりなので、食事は自分たちで食材を持ち込んで料理するで良かったと思っています。

Nous avons adoré résider dans ce logement typiquement japonais. Le cadre est paisible et permet le repos. La maison est propre et offre tout le confort moderne. Gros point fort: le onsen privatif qui permet de se prélasser après une joirnée au bord du lac. Pour finir notre hôte était hyper réactive et très sympathique. Nous recommandons fortement.

とても綺麗な宿でゆっくり過ごすことができました。 小さい子供がいましたが、荷物を運ぶ際に子供を見ていてくれたり、子連れに配慮したベッドメイキング場所の提案など温かいおもてなしをしていただきました。ありがとうございました。今回は利用しなかったのですがテラスでBBQもできるので、暖かくなったらまた宿泊したいと思います！

プライベート感溢れる立地 本格的な料理もできるプロ仕様のキッチン 多少の雨でもくつろげるバルコニー部分 広く本格的な温泉ジャグジー アメニティも充実しており 大変満足できるお部屋でした。

Beautiful house and outdoor area for the kids to play. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the place to our friends and family.

The house is really nice and the view is amazing. You are able to get t a hold of the host right away and he is very helpful if you have any questions or request.

This place is amazing, especially after a few days in bustling Tokyo. It felt a little too secluded at first, until we could figure out taxi service. We spent a lot of time in the onset, which was magical, only went out once to the open air museum/to pick up food. We were away a little too long: it’s a great place to rest and read and chill. Good to take a break from eating out as much as well. It could be cleaner in spots but the deck, the hot springs and views are worth it.

とにかく設備も揃ってるし、 全てが清潔感抜群。 プライベート空間としても塀が高いので良し。 また活用させてもらいます

It would be great if the BBQ grill can be used free of charge (include in the price). Great host, friendly and fast response. Recommended for foreigners.
