The cottage is located in the Tange National Park, passing through the power spot Heart Cave Ryugu Grotto (model of Ghibli "Porco Rosso) and Tange Beach. When you enter the front door of the cottage, the green of the trees and the sparkling light of the sea will jump out at you. The 20-tatami-mat living room has a sofa, kitchen, loft, and fireplace in winter, and a relaxing space for family and friends. When you go out from the window to the terrace, you will find a terrace made to look out at the sky and sea that spreads from the sea. You can enjoy the slow flowing breeze and sky in the jacuzzi and hammock swing. From the terrace, go up one more flight of stairs to the sky deck. Only nature as far as the eye can see. A breathtaking view spreads out. You can hear the slow flow of the Izu sea and fishing boats, as well as the babbling of the brook and the sound of birds. It's the best detox. Now, go down one floor and you'll find a charcoal BBQ in the woods while listening to the babbling of the river. It's delicious, fun, and the best memory. At night, the starry sky spreads out so much that it dazzles your eyes, and if the weather is good, you can see shooting stars! You can enjoy the beauty of the sky.

In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). It is a traditional inn that initially opened as an inbound accommodation facility. This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.
