It was better than I imagined!Not only did the children enjoy themselves, but the adults also enjoyed seeing the children in a way they don't usually see in their daily lives.There is also a supermarket nearby, and if you are coming from a rural area, you can buy what you want to eat at the service area on the way and cook it in the kitchen, so you can enjoy one meal in a way that is very different from a typical trip.What you can see inside the Holy Planet is just like being in the universe, and I was able to experience an extraordinary feeling that I had never experienced before.

Wonderful place. A privilege to stay here

I had a very enjoyable and relaxing time. I think that most of the necessary items are prepared for both the barbecue and the BBQ, and you can easily enjoy your trip.The time spent in the infinity chair, especially while listening to the sounds of nature, was the best. However, due to the natural environment, a large number of insects will be generated, so we recommend that those who will use it bring insect repellent goods such as mosquito coils and peppermint oil.

This is a beautiful traditional home with abundant space. The sauna was a nice bonus. We spent time touring pottery galleries, pottery workshops and many pottery stores. We enjoyed the ancient indigo dyeing and weaving studio, the Shoji Hamada Museum. While we didn’t have a car, walking was easy as most locations were within 20min of our temporary home. Thank you!

This place was wonderful. If you’re looking to get away and stay somewhere traditional in Japan - this is it. I solo traveled for the first time ever here and it was awesome. Next to busy street but was white noise to me since I’m used to city noises. I have no complaints - amazing hosts, amazing traditional tatami home. The owner is so kind and was very helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I honestly don’t know where to begin. Staying in Keiko’s home was truly one of the greatest honors of our time in Japan—it was a highlight of the entire trip. From the moment we walked through her door, we were immersed in Japanese culture. Keiko greeted us with warmth and kindness, making us feel immediately at home. She patiently guided us through everything, showing us how to use her space with care and respect. Her home is a reflection of her spirit—graceful, serene, and full of beauty. I was deeply moved and inspired by her presence and generosity. Being invited to take part in her traditional Japanese tea ceremony was an experience I will never forget. She took the time to teach us the rituals and meaning behind each step, explaining everything with such clarity and heart. She dressed us in beautiful kimonos, carefully helping us put them on the correct way. Drinking matcha that was pure and fresh—words fail me. It was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. The home is in an excellent location as long as you don’t mind an hour to hour and a half train ride to the heart of Tokyo. There are excellent bakery and bento restaurants right next to the local train station that is only 3-4 minutes away. The home was very clean and notable aesthetically pleasing but was just a tad bit cramped in certain areas including the laundry room and toilet room. The doorways were taller than many other buildings I have been in and the bedrooms were around average on a comfort scale. Overall, this home was a perfect spot for between 2-4 people and served nicely for a place to relax on days where we didn’t plan much sight seeing. The final cherry on top is how wonderful the host is, even going so far as to leave a nice note and some snacks upon arrival.

The area and the place is amazing, during our trip this was our most special apartment, we really felt how it would be like to live in Tokyo.

The room was exactly as described, the host super nice and flexible. The room is above a really nice bar, and surprisingly there is no noise at all! However, the room is pretty far from the center, around 45 mins from Shinjuku. So it depends on what you're looking for!

It was nice that you were so kind and always responded quickly! The accommodation was the same as the photos, and the bathroom was very clean, so I used it well.☺️ It was near the station and there was a convenience store nearby, so it was really convenient! The Tokyo hotel had almost no space to spread out the carrier, but it was spacious enough for the two of us to spread it out and carry it around.👍

This was a nice and cozy place that I could relax in while resting in between excursions out around Tokyo. Emiko was friendly, informed me of things ahead of time and took care of anything came up promptly. I would love to return and spend more time here.

Spotless house in traditional style and beautiful view of the tower

After the noise and chaos of central Tokyo, it was great to unwind in Saitama. The accomodation was perfect for solo travel, and had everything that was needed (I would like to highlight the excellent laundromat nearby). The host communicated perfectly and quickly, and was very accommodating to my panicked questions. Wonderful experience altogether.

I had a great stay. It was in a good location. No more than 5 minutes from the train station which was on a very convenient line. The room was clean and had working AC and enough to get you by for your stay a microwave etc. Both were very friendly and were happy to answer any questions I had during my stay regarding where to eat and things like that. Definitely a good spot and I would gladly stay again.

amazing place to stay

We had a lovely stay at Shunki’s place! Everything was clean and spacious with easy check in and out instructions. The location was convenient to the train station and we had multiple convenient stores and shops for our every day needs. We were welcomed with a box of treats when we arrived and it was super sweet! Highly recommend :)

We stayed at June's small studio apartment for the last couple nights of our vacation. It was cozy, and the perfect place for just a couple nights. The area is fairly quiet & it's a short walk to Ueno park, from where you can easily access the rest of Tokyo. We were able to drop off our luggage & check in early, which was great as we had accumulated quite a lot of souvenirs on the trip!

Comfortable, spacious accommodation, close to the station and clean!! The host was responsive to our requests.

I love this place. It’s in a quieter neighbourhood and the room is sizeable especially for the standards in Japan. Only thing is if you don’t like the noise coming from upstairs as the walls are a bit too thin, choose the top floor. But it’s only accessible by stairs. Train station is closed by, convenient.
