Holiday rentals with a patio in Tone River

Staying at this hidden gem was an absolute treat. Pati, our wonderful host, made our first trip to Japan unforgettable by offering amazing recommendations for food, shopping, and travel. After much research on where to stay, discovering Koenji and Pati's place felt like finding gold at the end of the rainbow. The location was perfect for us, as we love to walk—stations were easily accessible by foot, and the Koenji shops were just a short stroll away. The space itself was perfect—spacious, full of natural light, with a lovely little balcony. The large dining table and open layout made it feel like a true home away from home. We stayed for 8 nights and it was ideal for a longer stay. Despite the cold weather and snow on the first night, the heating kept us warm and cozy. Hot tip: definitely rent a bike to explore Koenji and Tokyo—it’s a fantastic way to get around. Thank you again, Pati, for your kindness and hospitality. We can’t wait to return to our new favorite place in Tokyo! :)

Helen and Sozo were great hosts. They checked on us and made all instructions clear. The apartment is clean and quiet. It worked well for our family of 4, 6 might be tight unless you have small children. The location is in a cute neighborhood and was nice to come back to after a busy day in the city. 7-11 and restaurants all close by. Easy walk to JR line or subway. So glad we stayed here!

The place is at a walkable distance from Sensoji(3-4 mins walk). The accommodation space is well managed with very tastefully done interiors. Walkable from Asakusa station. The stairs are narrow and there's no lift. It's difficult to carry the luggages.

Communication was very timely, and the check-in instructions were very clear, there was a supermarket nearby and about 10 minutes from the subway

I enjoyed my stay. The apartment is clean, quiet, and was a relaxing place to come back to on the days I toured the city and did excursions. The host is super kind and responsive. I highly recommend.

Our family of four stayed here for eight nights, the host couple welcomed us personally, brought us a gift, gave us details about the appliances, how to use and precautions in the room, and very thoughtfully prepared baby tissues, shower gel, toys and other baby items for the baby we were traveling with, and the refrigerator in the kitchen on the second floor was full of water, drinks, yogurt and other food for us to use for free.The house is very clean, the steps to the second and third floors, the kitchen, the room is clean and impeccable.The surrounding environment of the residence is very quiet, the living atmosphere is strong, contrasts with the crowds in Tokyo's downtown area, and there are various dining facilities such as convenience stores, fast food shops, restaurants, large supermarkets, etc. within walking distance.The living room on the second floor provides a convenient living space for our family, we will eat breakfast together in the kitchen in the morning, start the day after eating, and rest and chat in the living room after returning to the residence at night.The host was very responsive and always quick to respond to messages, and more importantly, she was prompt and enthusiastic in helping us collect and dispose of food waste and household waste during our trip, and visitors who have been to Japan know how important it is!The stairs to the second and third floor are narrow and steep (no way, the general illness of a Japanese single building), which is a bit difficult for elderly people who need to carry large luggage up and legs and legs, but the stairs are equipped with handrails to ensure the safety of the steps up and down.If you want to avoid the crowd sea of downtown Tokyo, this is a very suitable option for families.

The place is walkable to the train station and there is a shopping arcade with supermarkets and eating places nearby. The host was very responsive, helpful and friendly!

We had a wonderful stay at the very cozy house. The memories and inspirations built there will stay with us forever! The house was in a very quiet area. We love the location. It was so nice to come back to the quite cozy house after a long day of sightseeing. We went to the nearby supermarket and the mall a couple of times and use the nearby train station everyday to Tokyo city center area for sightseeing. On the way to these, we passed a very cute park with a pond with plenty of big fish and turtles and water Lilly pads. Very peaceful. Supermarket/ Mall and train station are in the same direction around 20 minutes walking distance which is very convenient for us. We saw an elementary school and a daycare by the park. I appreciate the greater neighborhood area with so much to offer. Plentiful of playgrounds for small kids at the mall which had at least 3 playgrounds. Our daughter had lots of fun. It’s a contemporary and traditional style decorated house. We loved it!

The stay was lovely and so clean! Very nice and quiet area, not too far from Shibuya. We arrived late into Tokyo and I booked it at the airport last minute - the instant book and self check in was so easy. Hong was so helpful and friendly and the response time was so fast!

This stay was perfect! Comfortable beds, great space, kitchen with everything you would need for a few nights stay. The area was very walkable and quiet with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The station was also very close, which was great for getting around Tokyo quickly! Would definitely stay hear again.

The host was incredibly kind and responsive — when we realized the place wasn’t the right fit for our family, they graciously allowed us to shorten our stay without any issues. The unit was clean, spacious for Tokyo standards, and very close to Shinjuku Station, which made getting around easy. That said, the building and surrounding area weren’t quite what we expected. It’s near the red-light district, which may not bother everyone, but it didn’t feel right for us. The building is older, with worn common areas. We saw puddles in the hallway — possibly from the weather — and generators nearby added some noise. The elevator also showed its age. With a young child who has sensory needs, it felt a bit overstimulating — not because of the host, but due to the building and neighborhood. If you’re okay with a grittier, urban, high-adult traffic area and want access to Shinjuku nightlife and trains, it could work well.

This was such a good place to stay in for me and my friend! The location was great and just a short walk from the train station. There was plenty to do in the ikebukero are and lots to do after taking the train to other places. Place was nice and clean and the owner was very responsive! Overall great place

This place was great! Right next to the beach, nice views, and in a really cute, peaceful area. It’s close to a train station, so wasn’t hard to get our luggage to and the place was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again!

Great spacious apartment in the kabukicho area. Very clean with everything we needed - air conditioning in all rooms. The apartment is on a quiet street just a block back from a more lively red light area. This is a fascinating area of Tokyo - it is seedy at night but not unsafe. It’s close to family friendly areas of Shinjuku. Would stay here again!

Very cozy house in a clean neighborhood. My family really enjoy the quietness and privacy. It’s a new and full-functional home. Not located in center Tokyo, but just 3 minutes walking to train station and fast to Shibuya by express line. Erin also gives many useful guide in Tokyo for us.
