In the summer, great fishing opportunities on the river. In winter time, Rtavaara ski resort 35km and Aavasaksa slopes 28km away. Rovaniemi is 110km away.

Villa Lumia is centrally located in Pello, a short distance from the train station and downtown shops. It is about a kilometer to the Swedish side and an hour to Rovaniemi. Ski trails and Ritavalkea ski resort are nearby. Ylläs is just over an hour away and Levi is about 2 hours away. Villa Lumia is a spacious and peaceful accommodation that is suitable for both solo travelers and larger groups. The apartment has a sauna, a hut, a fireplace and a hot tub for an extra fee.
