Beachfront holiday rental in Torrazzo

This 400-year-old lakeside house is a true step back in time, offering breathtaking views of Lake Maggiore. Spacious, impeccably clean, and full of charm, it fully lived up to expectations. The patio, right on the water, was an absolute highlight - we spent hours soaking in the stunning lake view, watching the distant lights of surrounding communities shimmer at night while sipping wine. Ambra is an exceptional host, providing detailed and timely guidance on the island, ferry schedules, free parking, and dining options. Despite our delayed arrival due to traffic, she graciously waited on the island to personally welcome us. The island itself is small yet enchanting, with plenty of restaurants and an ideal location for visiting the magnificent palaces and gardens of Isola Bella and Isola Madre. After the final ferry departs at 7 p.m., it feels as though you have the island entirely to yourself - a truly enjoyable experience.

We stayed at the property for nine days and were generally very satisfied. Highlighted is the extremely central location and the balcony, which is directly facing the lake. So you can read a book or have a coffee there. The balcony to the back, near the bedrooms, is much quieter and also very sunny, mainly in the afternoon. Although Carla said it was a problem parking the car, we almost always found a parking spot in front of the house or in close walking distance on the promenade. Since we are not Italians, the waste system was a challenge for us. But Karla also helped us very well here. Our dog also felt very comfortable and enjoyed the hours of sunshine on the balcony and watched people from there. All in all a very good apartment in the best central waterfront location in Stresa. We will be happy to come back and recommend the apartment.

We had a truly wonderful week at Carla's place in the heart of Stresa. The location is perfect, on the main lakefront boulevard, with beautiful views out over the lake and very central, everything is walkable. Parking for free was also surprisingly easy, just 50-100m further down the road there are plenty of parking spaces and we had no problems parking later in the evenings, we were out most days so never tried during the day. Apartment is very pleasant and well equipped with everything you need for a family of 4. Carla was super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this place.

Very nice apparment. It was super quiet. The bed is big and comfy. We had only little sunshine during our stay, but on our first morning we had our breakfast in the sun on the lovely little balcony. There are nice restaurants around the corner and also in the villages next to Lesa. Because of the colder temperatures we switched on the heating which worked perfectly. Also I want to mention that Patrizia was the most friendly and flexible host. We had mixed up the dates from our booking and she was super friendly and helped us to solve the problem. Thanks a lot!! Tipp: Should you travel by (big) car. Google Maps made us drive through the tiny very narrow roads in the village. Even though you can easily approach the apartment via the big road along the lake. So choose the big road when you drive there. ;)

The place offered us exactly what we needed. Great location and also the possibility to have a secular garden was impeccable!

We have had a wonderful week at Marta's apartment. The apartment was as described, immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The garden area is secure and peaceful. Stresa is a pleasant 15 minute walk. There are restaurants to suit all budgets. Marta and her family made us very welcome. Value for money, we can highly recommend. We had an absolutely lovely stay here. With four adults and two young children we had plenty of room and so enjoyed having the lake on our doorstep and the kayaks. We will definitely be back!

We struggled with the lock but Giuseppe was extremely helpful. The place was very good value for money as we wanted space and a garden for our dog and a washing machine as we were on a month long trip. At first you don’t get an instant impression of where you are but the location was right next to a panoramic walk along the lake for about 20 mins into the town.

The apartment is clean and well maintained, in a quiet neighborhood, a little away from the city center. There is a pier for the Borromean Islands just down the hill, following the road that descends from the church. The apartment is well-equipped and the garden is very nice. Marco was very welcoming, responsive to our messages and his instructions are very clear. Our stay was very pleasant and we'll keep the address for our next stay at Lake Maggiore.

Alessandro's place is very nicely decorated, clean and well arranged. The residence, located in the heart of a vast and beautiful park, is very pleasant and quiet. The apartment is located not far from the city center of Stresa, a pretty little town from where you can go to visit the beautiful Borromean Islands. Communication with Alessandro is easy, it transmits accurate information and can be reached at any time. Everything is organized to make the stay enjoyable. We thank him for his friendly welcome. We highly recommend this beautiful place by Lake Maggiore.

A fabulous stay, great view!!!

Nice little flat in an excelent location. Parking is nearby and we never had a problem to park. Only small downside was that it was difficult with our kids stroller, as right after the front door to the house are tall and narrow stairs, but with an effort it was manageable.

Beautiful apartment with great lake views. If you are good on foot, you can reach the beach in 2 minutes. The location itself is very central between Pettenasco and Omegna. The apartment offers everything you need for four, is clean, friendly and tastefully equipped. We were very warmly welcomed and instructed. Whenever we had any questions, someone was there. This is a very very special place and we had an amazing holiday here swimming and paddle boarding on the lake, hiking in the mountains and enjoying many meals al fresco with the very special view of Orta San Giulia from the house. This is an old family home so don’t expect fancy modern furnishing and equipment. But the antiques and decor only add to a special feeling and beds are comfortable, bathrooms fine with plenty of hot water and everything you need for your holiday is provided. We brought our own paddle boards as it was cheaper to pay to bring them than hire locally and we enjoyed being able to jump on them from the end of the garden and find some sun when the sun was off the garden late afternoon. Also there are bitey midges so bring repellant.

We enjoyed our time at Liz's lakefront condo. The views of Lake Maggiore from the living room/dining room and balcony are stunning. The location is peaceful, less crowded than the Piedmont side of the lake (Arona, Stresa, etc) but still has plenty to offer: good restaurants, historical sites, a beautiful promenade, and ferry service. The condo's private beach hadn't yet opened for the season during our stay. The listing and pictures are accurate. The unit is spotless and cozy with a decent kitchen, smart TV, and super comfortable bed. Our free parking spot was across the street next to the condo's private beach. Liz and her husband Alessandro are friendly, gracious, responsive and helpful hosts. They greeted us upon arrival and showed us where everything was and how things worked in the condo. They also had good suggestions for places to eat and visit. Liz checked in with us a few times during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

We booked for 3 days last June, due to bad weather and work problems, postponed twice. We went from December 7 to 9, cold yes, but magical place! That's what we were looking for. Corinne and her mom, very helpful, tidy house, clean, everything was perfect. We'll be back for sure. Thanks!

A beautiful place right by Lake Orta. The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing stay. So idyllic to be able to sit on the private dock. I swam every day. Only a few minutes walk from the Oira ferry, which takes you to Orta San Giulio.

We had a lovely time at Marias’s lake house. The private lake access is so lovely. It is shared with the other houses but we never had a problems. We were well looked after and even though I made a mistake with the number of people on my booking, Maria came straight away with an extra sheet of towels. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. It was a perfect mini getaway and I would recommend. The road down is pretty curvy, but the location is worth it.
