Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Torridge District

Had the best couple of days staying at the hut, was greeted by Alexandra who was extremely friendly and helpful she showed us the facilities and hut. hut itself was a lovely little place, we could've happily stayed for longer. If we are ever back in the area we would definitely stay again, thanks so much :)

We had the best time here! Penny and Ant were so welcoming and kind. They gave us maps and recommended nice walks in the area which was so helpful. The shepherds hut itself was perfect, really cosy with the wood fire stove and great selection of games. It has everything you need, nice hot shower and Penny provides delicious breakfast food and scones. Such a special place, can’t recommend enough!

We had a lovely stay at the Shepard’s hut. It had everything we needed, in a great location, perfect for a local getaway. Only wish we could have stayed longer.

This is a unique place.. you have to like wild and back to basics.. I stayed in the circus trailer. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was worried at first at the slightly tired appearance. But once the fire was lit, the fairy lights were on it was perfect. The most comfortable bed with the greatest view from it. Tea making facility and somewhere to charge my phone. Toilet and shower block were spotless, the shared kitchen and use of fridge and cookers was great. Fire pit and wood supplied and it was the most amazing dark space. The view of the stars, ISS and starlink were the best I’ve ever seen. I stayed here so I could walk the SWCP and it’s a 15-20 min walk to Polperro from the site so it was perfect. I would stay here again. This is definitely a wild, back to basics place to stay but I loved it. Matt was super helpful and responded quickly to any questions.

This is our 5th time staying at The Glade. Myself, my son and our pooch love it there. Its so private, quiet and i love to sit amongst the wildlife and bird watch. A nice walk in the woods right beside the hut or just a chilled swing in the hammock. It is our favourite place to unwind. I love how everytime we visit the surroundings look different with the ever changing wildlife. It is as beautiful in winter and rain as it is in the sun and summer. Autumn has to be my favourite. Juliet is a lovely host and is not intrusive in the slightest. However she is very responsive if you need anything. We had a lovely chat this time whilst i was sat bird watching and she told me about a few birds she had seen. What can i say if you need to unwind then this is the place. Comfortable, quiet, homely and warm.

The Shepherd's Hut was a very comfortable and convenient stay for our needs. The interior is very cute and the theme is applied perfectly. Nice to be on the edge of a working farm. The escapee ducks were a highlight. Communication with Mandy was easy. We would come back.

Been coming here for the last 3 years,we go to the ROYAL Cornwall show lovely set up ,we stayed here for 3 nights,we had the pleasure of meeting Ginny lovely lady ,we will be back again next year.

The stay in Rosie was absolutely fantastic. Kim was very friendly and went out of her way to make a cake for my birthday. Rosie was amazing the bed was so comfortable me and my partner had an amazing sleep, She kept cooking supplies in there and toiletries for us, there was even a portable stove which was amazing. We felt very comfortable and settled in immediately. The drive was very large and secure for our car to be parked. The area surrounding was also beautiful as the views are something you cannot forget, she had ducks and chickens snd two beautiful dogs who we played with, she went out of her way to supply us homemade jams and even offered for us to have chicken and duck eggs. If we ever wanted to go back to Cornwall, we would definitely stay again. thank you Kim

Really loved the stay at Diddylake! Amazing hosts, gorgeous location, and really great facilities. We both had a lovely time exploring cornwall, then having our private little huts in Diddylake to come back to, and chill out in. Waking up in the morning with the weather being sunny was beautiful and peaceful, Diddylake its own little place of solace. It was such an amazing place to start and end the day. Will definitely make another booking to stay in the future! :) Thank you Jackson and Sandra!

The Shepard’s hut was the perfect, quiet and rural stay we needed to switch off from our busy lives! The Shepards Huts are set in the woodland area of the hosts drive, but far enough away from each other and their home. They are cosy, private and peaceful. Abbie has placed lots of small things that have a real homely touch. From board games to tea, milk and cakes which were left for us on arrival. (Always a win!). The hut is in a brilliant location with lots of popular towns and village's being only 20/30 minutes drive. We drove to Watergate Bay and for an evening dog walk along the beach and take away pizzas one evening. It only took a 20 minuet drive and I highly recommend as it was an amazing sunset! Although the Hut is set back from the local village, you could easily walk there. There is a small village pub, shop and a takeaway I really can’t fault this place and highly recommend to anyone booking a stay here. Thank you for having us and we will hope to come back again!

Bliss ✨ Little Bear is a magical place. Private and peaceful with picturesque views and sounds of bird song. The perfect place to relax and recharge. We felt very much at home here and hope to return one day.

Sarah is a fantastic host & made us both feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The views are amazing, words can not do justice! The shepherds hut is so cosy with quality bedding & we cooked on the fire pit every evening. Sarah made amazing bread rolls for us, she inspired me to try & bake myself. We are looking forward to spending time there again. We love it there! Thank you Sarah 😊

The shepherd’s hut was exactly what we had expected, having stayed in several similar properties in the past. Everything needed was there, and it was a lovely touch to find milk and clotted cream in the fridge, plus two scones and jam on the table. The weather was terrible, so we did not walk much, but the view out of the window was lovely, and it was a convenient and perfect place to stay for visiting a friend who lives nearby but could not accommodate us. We would happily stay there in future when visiting our friend again.

Absolutely lovely Shepards hut in a gorgeous location! We had a lovely peaceful getaway. Greg and Alex were lovely and friendly, and we loved saying hello to their lovely dogs too! Highly recommend for the gorgeous Shepards hut, incredible view of the valley of rocks and for a hub to explore lynton and lynmouth, all within walking distance of!

Great stay at Tanya’s, recommend highly! I really enjoyed the area as lots of walking and wild swimming places to go. The lydford gorge is truly beautiful. The hut was super clean, comfy and cosy. Thanks so much for having me, I hope to visit again. X

We have just stayed here and it was amazing ( we stayed here again last year)! Would 100% recommend ! Everything you needed in this beautiful Shepard's hut and so peaceful. Can walk into Perrenporth easier on the walk down the hill. Anneli was so helpful and great with communication. Thank you for making our stay just brilliant

Myself and my partner spent a couple of nights here, we had an amazing time, the perfect location, the shepherds hut was so peaceful and cosy, very clean, we had everything we needed and more, the whole stay exceeded our expectations. Vicky was very welcoming. We’re already looking at booking again! We would highly recommend. A real hidden gem.

What a beautiful relaxing stay for our 1 year anniversary. Even though it was raining mostly, it didn’t stop us enjoying a relaxing evening in the tub! Andrew was so lovely and the place was immaculate. Will deffo be back! Thank you (chickens were a bonus)

This stay was incredibly peaceful and allowed guests to switch off and unwind. Some lovely coastal walks available, however to explore further a car is essential. The hot tub was a lovely treat at the end of each day! Thank you for allowing us to stay at your lovely Puffins hut!

absolutely loved our stay. A peaceful spacious hut. I loved having 2 aheep right outside the hut in a cornered off area, very cute and inquisitive. would highly recommend to anyone seeking solice and tranquility.

We enjoyed a fabulously relaxed & peaceful week at the little hut surrounded by wonderful nature. The shepherd's hut was very comfortable with nice furnishings & linen etc. We slept well in the bed & were able to cook a good range of foods on the hob & microwave/grill. The shower is large with a lovely powerful flow of water as hot as you like it. Lots of beautiful walks, coastline, beaches, harbours & historic places to visit. The hot tub was incredibly relaxing whilst watching the night skies and listening to the sounds of nature. Danielle was the perfect host, quick to respond to any queries & went out of her way to make suggestions of places to visit with our dog who is not so keen on busy places. A very thoughtful & enjoyable welcome pack was also appreciated, even our dog was provided with some luxurious treats - his new favourite. The perfect place for privacy, comfort & relaxation with a host who remains completely unobtrusive yet genuinely friendly & responsive when needed
