This is my familys hide-away on the Isle of Wight in the beautiful Freshwater Bay. We tried to make it as cosy and welcoming as possible. It's a 2 bed that can sleep 5 and has an enclosed garden at the front and it's own parking space. It's a 5 min walk from the Bay and a 10 min walk from Freshwater town. Anywhere on the island is under an hour away by car. There's a local shop + bar minutes walk away and a large supermarket under 5 min drive. Everything you need for a relaxing island getaway!

Very spacious apartment, full central heating with running hot water. Fully equipped kitchen, with microwave, slow-cooker, fridge freezer etc. Tea, coffee and sugar provided. Large modern walk-in shower room, towels provided. Partial sea views from lounge and kitchen. 5 mins walk to local Totland and Colwell beaches. Corner shop on hand, with takeaways on doorstep. Situated in the rural West , ideal location for walking, cycling or just as a base to tour the island. Bus stops just outside door

Beau and Bay are two semi detached holiday bungalows, which have been completely refurbished. Each offering glimpses of The Solent and within a stones throw of the beautiful Colwell bay, with its beaches and eateries. The restaurant The Hut, is a 15-20 minute walk away. I can offer a link for 25% off Wightlink ferry travel with a car and 20% off as a foot passenger. This link will be sent upon request, after booking is made. Smugglers was once an old stable attached to the back of our house. It’s still linked to the house, but is self contained. It’s unusual shapes and fixtures make it very quirky and would suit people that like something a bit different. There is a main double bed and a mezzanine deck ideal for relaxing on. The little kitchen allows you to stay in and cook for yourself if you fancy a cozy night in. The courtyard in front of smugglers can be used for bbq’s if the weather is kind!

A beautiful and unique holiday place. Tucked away and hard to find which gave it added charm. Good location for walks. Peaceful garden with views. It had everything we needed and more. In Freshwater we learned about the fascinating lives of literary heroes and well known figures in the Victorian era - such as Tennyson, Garibaldi, Darwin, pioneer photographer Julia Margaret Cameron, Lewis Carroll, Edward Lear and Charles Kingsley who all met and lived nearby. Don’t miss the Dimbola museum and cafe.

The Lobster Pot

The lobster pot was beautiful place. Fantastic views and beach. Restaurants near by were lovely and relaxing. The place was perfect for family of 4. Watching the sail boats while eating breakfast / dinner was amazing. Warm weather allowed us to eat on the patio watching the sea and some boat races. Everything we needed was provided, for self catering. Neat clean and tidy. The kids loved the lobster theme. I can’t fault the place.

Ghillie cottage was a real find. Very well presented with plenty of character and attention to detail but not over the top. We loved the garden room and the garden was very secure for two small dogs. It is in an excellent position for access to Colwell Bay which is a lovely beach with rock pools at low tide and wonderful for dog walks.( Dogs can go on parts of the beach all year.) There were a number of reasonably priced places to eat some a short walk, others a short drive away. We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay and would definitely return.

This is the most luxurious Airbnb we have ever stayed. The house is beautifully designed and decorated, has everything we needed and is well equipped with all the brand new appliances. All my friends and children enjoyed our stay including the jacuzzi, sauna, playroom and the lovely garden. Nicola has been extremely helpful and welcoming, giving us plenty of instruction for the area and the house without us asking for them. We are well informed of the service and maintenance planned for the house as well. Thank you.

This was our first Airbnb booking and because of Polly’s it won’t be the last . As soon as you meet Polly it seems as if you’ve known her for ages . We absolutely loved staying at her place , she gave us loads of tips which I’d say we practically did all of them . The hot tub is amazing . All in all PERFECT 😍

We had a fantastic stay at David’s place. The location was peaceful and well-situated for exploring the Isle of Wight, especially for our fossil-hunting trip. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Communication with David was smooth and helpful throughout. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great base on the island.

We had a lovely time in Richard's place. Everything was as described and immaculately clean. He was very responsive and gave us very clear instructions and very useful tips on local restaurants, things to do etc. The hot tub was amazing and the girls enjoyed using the swimming pool. The location is ideal to get to the Needles, Alum Bay, Freshwater etc and the local beach is an absolute plus! Thanks Richard!
