House holiday rentals in Totonicapán Department

This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. I’ve traveled to a lot of Airbnb’s in many different countries and none compare to this. Finding this place is surely an adventure but once you are there, you don’t want to leave! I can’t say enough good things about the chefs that will cook you every meal. We had them do all the shopping for our meals along with other items we wanted such as water and beer. The housekeeper services that help coordinate private boat rides to other villages, keeping the place clean, or even small things such as turning on the hot tub while we are away are truly incredible perks of this place. The property and views are just amazing and I can’t wait to come back here for my next stay!

This Airbnb is what Airbnb was supposed to be 10 years ago. It’s not just another property from a manager that you never see. Jean was very warm welcoming and welcomed us herself on our arrival. She was very proactive by giving us some tips from what to do, where to go or eat. She answered really quickly and helped us organized some massage sessions. The property is as described. The heated pool, the private beach and dock. Be aware that there are a lot of steps in the property and that arriving there from San Marcos may be a little difficult because of the road. But in my opinion those aren’t a problem after you see how beautiful it is there. I hope I can return one day

This place was absolutely beautiful. The ladies that came and cooked for us were amazing. Food was amazing and so worth hiring them to cook for us. There really isnt anywhere to get food from around the area. Josue went and purchased the groceries for us and made sure that we had everything we needed. I cant wait to book this place again.

This home was incredible! Not only is the location fantastic - private, right on the lake, easy to drive to, walkable to San Marcos - but it is decorated, furnished and staffed to feel like a luxury getaway. I would recommend taking the staff up on the option to have a chef and massage therapist come during your stay. I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was the perfect getaway for our family and we look forward to returning.

Lugar bastante seguro, buena ubicación, casa bastante espaciosa con ventiladores prácticamente en toda la casa... Fue una buena estadía ...

Un lugar cómodo y acogedor

Awesome house. We really liked that every room had a bathroom. Pool was clean and good sized. Also great it had bathrooms and showers by the pool. About 10 minutes from IRTRA parks, it is also driving distance from Xela.

This is a one of a kind beautiful house. From the outside does not appear what’s inside. Nice place. Will definitely consider it for my next trip to Quetzaltenago. Get this place just to relax if you can.

Lugar muy acogedor, Bris muy amable.

La casa muy hermosa, muy acogedora todo coincidían con lo que nos ofrecieron la pasamos muy bien y sin duda voy a regresar a esa casa, la anfitriona muy atenta desde nuestra llegada hasta nuestra salida, nos ayudó mucho y la pasamos muy bien, la casa muy limpia todo estaba bien organizado, nos gustó mucho los detalles que la anfitriona tenía en la casa a la hora que llegamos eso fue muy bonito.

Made a very last minute booking, José was very helpful . I have a 4x4 and the drive to the location is so fun! The home is bucolic and charming. I plan on staying here again when in Huehuetenango // Hice una reserva de último minuto, José era muy atendido. Tengo un 4x4 y el viaje hasta el lugar es más divertidos que he tenido. El hogar es bucólico y encantador. Planeo quedarme aquí otra vez cuando esté en Huehuetenango.

La casa es lo que muestran las fotos, muy céntrica, camas super cómodas. Como observación para quien alquile, si lleva vehículo que sea bajo, es un poco complicado el parqueo principal pero ofrecen soluciones.

Casa Xelaju is a great place to stay while in Xela, be it for a short-term or long-term stay. I stayed for three weeks. The buildings and grounds are set off away from the main streets so are pretty quiet. The garden is bright with flowers. It is near to convenience stores, a market for buying fruits and veg, and the main square (all in Zone 1). I stayed in the house which was great (and big! - just as is shown in the pictures), but do know that there are also different types of smaller apartments and studios available to rent as well - all you need to do is contact them and ask. The staff were so friendly and attentive to anything that I needed during my stay. Guests have access to a washing machine and free, filtered drinking water. Highly recommended!

El lugar es muy tranquilo y seguro y accesible para varios lugares, la casa está muy bonita y equipada, y la anfitriona fue muy amable y estuvo al pendiente en todo momento.

Un lugar muy cómodo, nos sentimos como en casa, la comunicación con Mario muy buena, la casa súper limpia y la ubicación muy tranquila lo recomiendo
