Villa holiday rentals in Trancoso

My family and I (wife and two kids (13 and 16) spent three days over Chistmas at the house. it was the absolute perfect place to spend the holidays. The house is very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed and was perfect for us to prepare the full Véspera and Christmas Day meals. There is even a local bread delivery service and the legendary Sera da.estrela mountain cheese made from local sheep available close by. Loriga is a beautiful mountain town and should not to be missed. From the beginning Senhor Tiago was extremely helpful and friendly. We are so grateful to have been able to spend our Christmas in such a fantastic location. We can't recommend this house more highly!!!!

ik kan geen betere plek bedenken om te verblijven als je met zo'n grote groep een accomodatie zoekt. Ik kan geen enkele kritiek bedenken. Deze accomodatie overtreft in alle opzichten alle verwachtingen. Ik kan iedereen deze accomodatie aanbevelen als je met een grote groep vakantie wil houden.

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Kraft-Tanken mit einem bezaubernden und gepflegten Grundstück. Manuela ist eine sehr freundliche und achtsame Gastgeberin. Wir waren mit 3 Freundinnen in dem 2-geschossigen Appartment mit einer Treppe, die für eine Freundin wegen einer früheren Hüft-OP nicht so gut begehbar war (das Appartment nebenan ist eingeschossig und wäre bei solchen Einschränkungen geeigneter). Unsere Freundin entschied sich daher für das Sofa im Wohnzimmer als Schlafplatz auf einer Ebene mit dem Bad. Damit kamen wir dann gut zurecht und danken Manuela sehr für unseren wunderbaren Aufenthalt.

A casa é muito espaçosa, com diversos ambientes e pode receber uma família numerosa tranquilamente. São 4 quartos e diversas salas com camas/sofás, todos os cômodos com aparelho de ar-condicionado/aquecimento. O espaço exterior é imenso e nosso cão adorou explora-lo todos os dias. Comunicação fácil e muito simpáticos os anfitriões 😊

The house is incredible — a beautifully renovated old mansion with plenty of space for the whole family. We were a large family group of all ages, and everyone felt right at home. There were lots of toys for the kids, as well as a pool and a small playground outside. We loved the garden; it was just a pity that the weather wasn’t ideal, so we couldn’t enjoy it fully. One great feature for bigger groups is the number of bathrooms, along with the huge living room, which has a large TV and plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. I personally loved the kitchen, which was fully equipped with every appliance we could possibly need. Last but not least, there is also a small vegetable garden open to guests — we enjoyed a few onions and used some fresh lemons for our tea. :) Antonio was very responsive and helped us promptly whenever we had any issues. We truly hope to return to this beautiful place someday!

Casa muito boa, com bom espaço interior e exterior. Boa cozinha e espaço externo. Tudo disponível (panelas, eletrodomésticos, louças, toalhas etc). Anfitrião muito atencioso.

Absolutely magical place to stay. Visiting the Douro is all about slowing down, relaxing, reconnecting and exploring. The Green House is the perfect place to experience all these things. The house is huge and so spacious allowing us to spread out and have our own space. Equipped with everything and more that you need. The kitchen was amazingly equipped and we enjoyed family dinners and game nights sitting on the terrace looking out at one of the most beautiful views in the world. The host was kind, responsive and provided some many special touches and amenities. Comfy robes and slippers for all, sun hats to borrow, bathroom toiletries, and a fully stocked kitchen with extra special food and drink,so no need to even go to the store as you settle in. We even enjoyed listening to Fado on the vintage record player. Stay at the Green House as your base for exploring the Douro Valley and you will not want to leave!

Very nice house with everything you could want for a quiet and comfortable stay in a beautiful surroundings and amazing view. We were a group of 7 people and we enjoyed every minute staying in the house, making good use of the pool, outside area, kitchen and bbq. Jose Manuel and Sofia were great hosts, providing good and swift answers eveytime we needed. Short note regarding driving. The roads in this side of Portugal can be curvy with a lot of hills, so we recommend taking good time and drive slowly. Apple and Gggle Maps can be a little tricky in this side of the world as sometimes it can take you to narrow streets only because it makes the route shorter by few meters so usually it is best to stay on roads marked as national roads (N***).

Casa perfeita para um fim de semana em amigos/familia. Sem dúvida alguma a melhor host que já tivemos. Tudo perfeito do início ao fim, desde a flexibilidade, as recomendações, as respostas rápidas e todo o apoio prestado. Uma palavra também para a Maria, que cozinhou para nós com muita qualidade e um serviço muito próximo. Sentimo-nos literalmente em casa.

Absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back!!! Adrianne was great dropping by each morning to have a little tidy in the kitchen and make breakfast. The view of the Douro valley from poolside and the rooms was incredible. Can’t say enough good things about our stay!

A nossa estadia foi fantástica! A casa é extremamente confortável e perfeita para um grupo de amigos. Aproveitámos imenso a piscina, o churrasco e o salão para jantares. É uma casa com uma decoração bonita e tranquila, ideal para relaxar e desfrutar de bons momentos em conjunto. Permitiu-nos sair da azáfama do dia a dia e ter um bom descanso. Recomendamos bastante e certamente iremos voltar!

What an EXTRAORDINARY accommodation Casa Marmelo was for our group of 8 adults when visiting the Douro valley !!! Host Kate was super to work -- right from our initial contact for information through our date of departure. What an excellent WELCOME GUIDE she provided before our arrival - with valuable tips and suggestions for activities and dining throughout the area. Housekeeper Helene too could not have been more kind, charming, and helpful. What delicious breakfasts she made for us each morning. The entire property was kept so clean and tidy. What a memorable time we all had -- we all hope to be back!

Beautiful location stunning house. Great host. Do the vineyard tour it is great lots of information and gorgeous wine! Hard to leave the house for day trips as it is so tempting to stay in! Local people are friendly and helpful. Thank you for an amazing week we will be back for sure!!!!

Nous avons adoré le panorama, la maison est superbe très cocooning, bien rangée, très propre, piscine magnifique, tout était comme nous l'avions espéré. Teresa est une hôte très à l'écoute gentille et surtout nous a donné toutes les informations dont nous avions besoin et j'ai adoré ses vidéos pour nous montrer les bons chemins à prendre pour les restaurants. Merci Teresa et à bientôt !

Our stay at this place was UNREAL! The views was like something taken from a movie with its hills and scenery. Jose, the host we were in contact with, made the whole stay even better! The wine tour was incredible and informative and having access to the pool during these hot days was incredible. The comments said the pool was private but in the booking it says shared pool. But I imagine the pool is restricted to the ones in the houses, not the camping. Overall, an incredible stay!! Will definitely come back some day!

Everything was perfect. The check-in went smoothly and the place is spotless. Communication was easy and friendly. I would stay there again without hesitation.

We had a very relaxing time at João’s place. The surroundings are beautiful and calm, the apartment was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

O espaço da D. Fátima é excelente. As condições são as que são apresentadas e é um excelente local para passar uns dias relaxados. A D Fátima foi muito prestável durante toda a estadia e mostrou-se sempre disponível para o que fosse necessário. Um local a revisitar, sem dúvida!

I don't think you could ever tire of the views from Quinta do Fraguil. They're breathtaking - we kept taking just one more photo! It's so special to be able to see so far into the distance and right down to the bottom of the valley. Even the local viewing point didn't match it! From start to finish, Rui was a friendly and really responsive host. He made us feel confident as soon as we had booked that we were going to be staying somewhere special. He turned up to meet us when we arrived and was in really good contact any time we needed to ask him anything before or during our stay. The pool is a total highlight - a good size and really clean. The house itself was also really clean and tastefully furnished. The outside eating area was perfect and made you feel happy to stay 'at home' and cook! We had sunshine every day and warm evenings sitting outside. This is the sort of place that you feel really sad to leave at the end of your holiday and one that you're very likely to visit again.

Casa muito confortável, maior do que parece nas fotos. Extremamente limpa. A D.Madalena é uma anfitriã excelente, que faz o check-in/out em pessoa e até nos trouxe mais lenha. O jardim é fofo, mas não está totalmente vedado. Tem ar condicionado em todas as divisões.

The home was comfy and in the most stunning grounds with views across the entire valley. The pool is beautiful and clean and the grass of the garden lawn is beautiful. Inside has a lounge which is rare in Portugal as well as comfy beds and plenty of space. The showers are quite narrow to get in and out of but that is the only small negative I can think of! Joao is also lovely and always on hand to help when needed.
