This traditional house of about 200 years is located in the village of Poliani in Messinia at a height of 680 meters in the embrace of Taygetos. The village is surrounded by verdant mountain peaks as it stretches through a fertile plain full of apple trees,walnuts and grains that cross it by two rivers. Historically, Poliani has recorded up to this day more than 45 Byzantine temples while the church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary survives from the Byzantine period with remarkable frescoes of the 12th century.

Just 50 meters from the central square of the village of Stemnitsa, through a dreamy stone alley, is the fully renovated Rodanthi guesthouse. At the entrance there is a courtyard with shade from a large walnut tree and vines.
