Kashinoki-an is in a very convenient location, just a 3-minute walk from Kintetsu Kashihara-Jingu-Mae Station. Kashihara Jingu Shrine is a historic town with the mausoleum and shrine of the first emperor of Japan, in the place where Japan began. It is also a place with a lot of greenery and nature. In the neighborhood, there is Asuka, which retains the appearance of ancient Japan, and is dotted with many ruins. Imai-cho, where the old streets from the Edo period still exist, is also a highlight. Kashinoki-an is a pure Japanese-style house built over 60 years ago, and you can also enjoy the garden. The kitchen and bathroom have been renovated for a pleasant stay. There is also a tourist information center, restaurant, tavern, supermarket, drug store, convenience store, and 100-yen shop nearby, making it very convenient. To that end, I want many people to experience a nostalgic way of life and culture. As such a place, we renovated a row house left by our ancestors and opened it as the Daiji, a soy sauce shop that had closed. You are always welcome! I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. This guesthouse is a renovated 120-year-old traditional Japanese house located in the merchant town of Omi Hino, overlooking Mt. Watamuki in the Suzuka Mountains of Shiga Prefecture, with the concept of "nostalgic yet new." The townscape of Hino itself is somehow nostalgic and calming. "Watamukiyama Village" was born in a corner of this town in 2019. Accommodation is limited to one group at a time, and the accommodation fee starts from the rate for two people.
