Jackie & Murray were very welcoming and do such a nice job! Murray met us at check in and walked us to our spot. The place was clean and very organized- we had everything we needed. Beds, pillows, & sheets were all super comfy too.

A very comfortable home away from home, and lovely location.

This spot was dreamy and everything we wanted with the outdoor soaking tub and centrality to the town. It had a phenomenal bathroom and indoor soaking tub as well! It was very clean and easy to access. We hit some snags with the outdoor tub given the temps and had some issues communicating effectively with David. However, he was quick to make it right and do what he could to make sure we left happy with our stay.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the cottage. It was so cosy and everything had been thought of - comfortable bed, skylight for stargazing, outdoor bath and even slippers. We appreciated all the baby items that were set up and the toys and books. It’s in a great location and a short drive to so many great walks and scenic spots. We love staying at Rose’s Cottage. From the moment you walk in you feel at home. The Cottage is comfortable, warm, well equipped, welcomes our small dog and has the most comfortable bed. This was our second stay at Rose’s Cottage and we look forward to staying again

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here. Check-in was easy, the hosts communicated really well with us. The house was clean, cozy, and well appointed. We would definitely stay again. 5 stars.

If you are looking for quintessential rural Aotearoa this is it! My opinion is that any time of year this would be an amazing place to stay. We loved the open fire, size of the rooms and the surrounding landscape. This is an active farm so there is tractor noise, dog barking and even a large Angus bull out the window, so enjoy it is all amazing. Rachel is lovely and extremely helpful. We will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay here. Sandra is an incredible host and had thought of everything to make our stay even more comfortable. The breakfast goodies left for us were amazing especially the free range eggs. The bed was amazing and the extra pillows provided was next level. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit Waimate

Really nice place with a lovely fire place. 10 minutes to Fairlie and 40 minutes to Lake Tekapo. The place was warm when we arrived and the check in instructions were very clear. We loved the views of the mountain in the morning and how isolated we were.

Beautiful private lodge in the middle of farm and mountains. Husband and me had a great time using the space. lots of firewood and Kindle for fireplace, great kitchen and BBQ. pizza oven didn't seem to catch the wood on fire maybe because of the outside temperature but other then that a stunning air bnb

A magical 2-night farm stay! We had a truly wonderful experience at Home of Fairlie. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the peaceful countryside setting was perfect. The farm tour was a definite highlight — we got to meet many friendly animals including alpacas, goats, horses, and sheep. My nephew was especially thrilled, spending hours exploring the farm and bonding with the animals. The breakfast basket was generous and delicious, filled with fresh, local produce — a lovely way to start the day. The house was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared to make us feel at home. It’s a perfect place for families or anyone looking to enjoy nature and authentic Kiwi farm life.
