Cottage holiday rentals in Ugthorpe

Sundial is a beautiful cottage, central to Skelton. The cottage is comfortable and has the convenience of a downstairs and upstairs bathroom / shower and a separate utility room. I booked Sundial for the hot tub and this feature didn’t disappoint. A superb way of relaxing after a busy day. We visited Saltburn (walkable along the Cleveland way) and Whitby (I highly recommend the Park & Ride). Before coming home I drove to Marske-on-sea where my dogs and I enjoyed a gorgeous walk along the wide, open beach. Marske has a dog friendly cafe (The dog house) if any dog lovers are reading this review!

We had a fantastic stay here for 4 nights. It was beautifully clean and had everything and more we needed. Such lovely hosts, very responsive should you need them. Great location! Such an easy drive to a lot of places. We visited Whitby, Scarborough, Pickering, Thornton Le Dale and more! All under 1 hours drive away. Cottage is so homely and very welcoming 😊 Amazing that each room has their own en-suite. Beds are so comfy! Downstairs bedroom was great for us with someone in the party having mobility issues. Games room is a fabulous touch! Sauna and hot tub both very clean. Highly recommend to stay here. Thanks for a wonderful stay 🥰

We love Rambling Rose Cottage! Dawn is a great host - all the extras - wine and chocolate on arrival, things like salt and even tea, coffee and milk to get you started. My daughter loves this cottage so it’s becoming a tradition to come for her birthday! Thanks so much Dawn! We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely holiday home which is in a stunning location overlooking Robin Hoods Bay. It really was an unbeatable location. Steve was a fantastic host, giving us all the information we needed about the property and location. He also left us some welcome extras in the fridge 😊 The property was clean and well presented, and the hot tub and snooker room were enjoyable extras. We would happily return to this beautiful, peaceful spot in the future.

Really enjoyable stay. Everything was perfect, and I would return if I were back in the area. The location was peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful nature — exactly what I was hoping for. The space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

We had the most beautiful stay — the cottage was peaceful, private, and instantly felt like home. Everything was spotless and smelt amazing, with such a lovely, calming vibe throughout. The decor was gorgeous, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The hot tub was the perfect finishing touch for a truly relaxing weekend. The hosts went above and beyond with thoughtful details like fresh eggs in the morning and chocolates waiting for us on arrival. Communication was smooth and friendly from start to finish. You can really feel the care and effort put into every part of the stay. I’d absolutely recommend this place — it’s a little gem, and I’d love to return!

Wow , beautiful location & holiday home filled with bespoke wooden furniture ( including the most comfortable bed ever - a massive oak 4 poster). Lots of extra touches as mentioned in other reviews , the robes , huge bath sheets ( towels), bread/ jam & biscuits . Beautiful views in a peaceful setting , the courtyard garden is a sun trap bathed in bird song, and a deer appeared in the field as I enjoyed a morning cuppa. The hot tub is great & easy to use. Henry & Jane were welcoming and on hand if needed but left us in peace to enjoy our stay . The timber mill showroom is well worth a visit to see more gorgeous bespoke wooden furnishings , lovely walk to the village of Rosedale past the farm animals in the fields with the hills in the background. Perfection , can’t fault it at all. Love to stay again , thankyou for hosting us .

Winnow Cottage is a peaceful haven, nestled in beautiful surroundings and is a nature lover's paradise for watching the wildlife. The extra touch of fresh flowers and local produce provided by Sue was warm and inviting. Sue is an excellent host on all aspects. We travelled from Cornwall, which is a day's travel, but it was well worth the journey and we are hoping to return at some point in the future. We were somewhat emotional when leaving this beautiful home. Thank you Sue, for your hospitality and welcoming attention to detail.

We had a lovely couple of days at Marvic cottage in Staithes. The cottage was charming and had everything we needed without feeling cluttered. Very clean and fab to have extra touches like coffee, milk, snacks, washing up liquid, soap etc. We pre-booked our parking with Glen View parking and found it easy to carry our bags down the hill as the cottage was on the high street and easy to find. We loved the central location near to all the cafes and shops and not far from the beach. We found the location worked well for us & the cottage felt comfortable and relaxing. Our fav place to eat out was the Cod & Lobster and we loved exploring the little streets and paths and discovering pretty corners and rock pooling at low tide. Would recommend to others and would stay there again, we felt it was great value.

Eva’s cottage is a wonderful space, with everything that’s needed for an enjoyable stay. It’s in an excellent location in Staithes - very close to the harbour and main street where all the shops, galleries, museum and pubs etc. are. Bonus parking permit was really appreciated. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

Great little cottage. Stayed this weekend for my birthday, excellent location for exploring the Yorkshire coast and moors. The cottage was spotlessly clean and Cara is friendly and responsive. A very nice place to stay. The cottage is very well furnished and equipped with everything needed for a short break. It is a good location within walking distance of all that Whitby has to offer. Brigid’s instructions on parking were really clear and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our break.

The Granary is a beautiful and cosy place to stay that is accessible to many fantastic places such as Dalby Forest and the coastline. The accommodation is beautiful and we were made to feel very welcome where nothing was too much trouble. The animals were an added bonus. Lovely characterful, clean and well equipped cottage. We all appreciated the double glazing to keep out the seagull squawking. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Everything about this place was luxurious, which is exactly what we wanted. It's clearly been really well thought out and the space converted beautifully. Location wise it's perfect for you to park up and walk around the town. Crystal was lovely, very proactive in providing all sorts of information we might need without us having to ask and when we did have a problem finding the key she answered the phone and helped us out immediately. Something I wish I'd thought about as a super light sleeper is that obviously being in the centre of the town you can hear a fair amount of noise overnight/early morning. This didn't bother my husband, but it kept me up so I thought I'd mention in case it's a problem for anyone else. Also one of the bedroom windows is directly opposite the main door to another property so when they walk past to enter and exit they could see right in. Probably won't bother most people, but again thought I'd just mention it in case it does. Would still highly recommend!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend in this beautiful cottage. Cosy and comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The location is peaceful and picturesque and we especially enjoyed chatting to Ian and Kathryn and meeting their newborn lambs. Hope to return.

Great location for Robin Hoods Bay, wonderful view from the accommodation. Comfy bed, very clean throughout. Powerful shower. Plenty of cooking utensils. We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you ☺️ Would recommend walking from Robin Hoods Bay to Whitby along the Cleveland Way and getting the bus back. Very good bus service.

Excellent stay at The Piggery. Molly made sure we had all the info we needed prior to arriving. The place itself is beautiful! The weather was quite cold while we were there so we couldn't really make use of the stunning balcony with amazing views! I imagine it is brilliant in the summer. Plenty of shops in Sleight village within a 10/15 minute walk. Train station to get to Whitby is around a 20 minute walk from The Piggery.
