Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Ulster

Dulrush Lodge is a quiet, private place in a farming community with great access to the lake. Fishing was great. We ate in the restaurant once and the food was good.

Though Ballymoney itself wasn't really that interesting, our stay at Alan and Hilary's will remain one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. As hosts, they are the epitome of graciousness. The house - being as quirky and full of character as it is, seems to attract kindred soul travelers, and we enjoyed everyone's company around the kitchen island, at the BBQ, and at the breakfast table. Hilary, by the way, puts on the MOST amazing breakfast each morning. We we very well-rested and well-fed and ready to take on the Causeway or Rathlin or whatever with Ballymoney as our home base. We won't think of returning to Ireland unless it includes returning there!

Elizabeth was a great host and made a really lovely breakfast for us with poached eggs, on toast warm poached pears, berries, yogurt, freshly baked soda bread, local honey, etc. The room was spacious and the bed had the best feather pillow we had on the whole trip. Loved the dogs, the cat, the beautiful duck, the sheep, the view, and her garden with spectacular Sarah Raven poppies!

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Martina's. Easy location, onsite parking and a wonderful large bedroom space. We enjoyed a lovely continental breakfast with plenty of choices in their breakfast room. Hosts were very hospitable and we highly recommend this bnb.

Great little spot by the banks of a rustling river. The decor of the rooms and downstairs pub/ restaurant areas is very unique and crafty. Host made me feel very welcome and the flow of patrons to the pub and restaurant, with a roaring fire means you won't be long settling in. I've stopped here a few times for a few nights, and although it was winter it was very comfy, but I'm sure over the summer it would be spectacular.

Bernadette was incredible, very friendly and nice, and her house… no words to describe it. It was like one of them hoses you only see in tv, incredible. And with awesome views to the garden with a river.

amazingly clean house in a very quiet area. I have no car, but easily could get to all interesting places in the town and even if you decide to walk to the Tullan strand and then along it, it wouldn't take you more than 2.5 hours of lazy walking from Sandra's place. but in case if you just want to take a picture of a lovely sunset - it's just 5 mins walking from there. I would stay again!

Louise was so sweet and very accommodating. She made the best local recommendations. Breakfast was a traditional Irish breakfast and served hot.

Really great stay in a great area. Close to the portrush town centre and in walking distance to everywhere. Karen was really helpful in checking in/out and provided a very pleasant experience. Would certainly recommend.

Jenny was more than welcoming and accommodating during our stay. The location is fantastic and the room was spotless. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and she catered to our every need. Will definitely be back! Thank you so much Jenny❤️

Patricias directions made it easy to find. Locksafe was easy to use. Everything was immaculate, comfy beds. Breakfast items were set up on the table with other stuff in the fridge. A lovely selection. Patricia was very friendly and gave us tips on where to visit.

Excellent séjour chez Michael. La maison est très bien avec une terrasse et un jardin vu mer... Michael a été très accueillant et nous a donné plein d'informations, de conseils... Je recommande très vivement le logement pour l'accueil, le positionnement et tous les équipements à disposition pour cuisiner, le petit déjeuner et ce sentir bien.

Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Mijn kamer aan de voorzijde was prachtig. Ik voelde mij een rijk persoon in een landhuis. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaresse met als extra's een heel gezellige pub met echt lokale muziek. De eetkamer was niet zo schoon als mijn slaapkamer maar mijn ouders hebben mij geleerd: "this hous is clean enough to be happy and dirty enough to be healthy". En zo is het. Een plek om graag naar terug te keren.

Incredible host! They were very friendly and served the most delicious breakfast. The room was so cute and cozy, and the location had such a breathtaking view of the ocean. Also, quick five to ten minute walk to just about anywhere in the central area. Would recommend this spot to anyone traveling to Portrush.

Kathleen and chad were great hosts and helped us with our requirements for visiting this part of beautiful Donegal. We will definitely stay again when we return to the area.

If you need a place to stay in this area of N.Ireland I highly recommend staying at Shanvey house. We were attending a wedding whilst also celebration a milestone birthday within the family and Jill went above and beyond in helping make both occasions feel really special. From allowing us to visit before we stayed, to organising rooms, to making suggestions of local restaurants to finally organising a Birthday BBQ (food was absolutely beautiful) to coordinating delivery of birthday decorations. Jill helped us make sure all elements where planned and organised. This meant that our stay was super enjoyable knowing all was in hand. The house is beautiful and the rooms are impressively dress with stunning views. We felt very much at home with a delicious choice of breakfasts each morning. Jill looks after us incredibly well whilst also giving us space to celebrate as a family together (which we don't get to do that often) No request was too small for Jill! Highly recommend!

Wunderschönes Haus mit Blick auf Benbulben. Die Kommunikation mit Geraldine war unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Das Haus liegt etwas außerhalb und bietet Ruhe und Behaglichkeit. Das Zimmer war gemütlich und das Bad blitzblank. Das „help yourself breakfast“ ist gut und sehr umfangreich. Eine Bushaltestelle ist in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Eine gute Base, um Sligo und die wunderschöne Umgebung zu erkunden. Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt.

We had a lovely stay at Elizabeth and Clint’s place. They were so welcoming and very accommodating and gave us great recommendations for things to do and see. Would highly recommend their accommodation when visiting Sligo!

We spent our last night in Ireland at Sean's house. We were tired and were thankful they were willing to allow us to come an hour early. The room is lovely and comfortable

Myself and my partner James had the most amazing stay with Siubhan and Owen they are the loveliest couple with the most beautiful home. Siunhan and Owen couldn't do enough for us giving us plenty of recommendations. we honestly felt like we've known them a life time. will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. I can see why Aine is a super host with the fabulous Irish warm welcome. We sat and had a great chat over a cup of tea after I took some wonderful photos of her garden and surround countryside. Such a relaxing home with warm comfortable bed, I slept like a baby. I will definitely return on my journey back to Ireland next year. Thank you Aine for such a lovely relaxing stay at your farmhouse.

I couldn't recommend this place enough. My wife and my self had a great stay. The breakfast was lovely the host was fantastic we felt right at home. The house inside and out was spotless and everything was provided for. If it was a hotel it would be 5 star.
