Waterfront holiday rentals in Union County

We absolutely loved staying here!! Very clean and quiet, peaceful and beautiful!! Everything we needed was at the place and everything was super cute and very clean. I really appreciated Tammy’s little binder of instructions and recommendations for places to go and enjoyed the coffee bar. They really thought of everything!! Pictures looked like the stairs were outside, but I was pleasantly surprised to see they are indoors. I will say for future guests, GPS (we use the Waze app) lead us to a completely different private address. We passed the street the place was on so I easily knew where to go, just don’t trust GPS! Street sign is very visible thankfully and be prepared for gravel roads and a fun backwoods experience with gorgeous scenery. We loved it, so breathtaking, secluded and just what we needed! Would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay and within walking distance to great restaurant. Deb was amazing to work with and very responsive. Beds were comfortable and we had a great time. We will definitely stay here again.

Ashley and her lakefront rental were both amazing! She made check in and out so seamless and easy , place was juys wayt we needed As makanda girl I really enjoyed the peaceful private yet safe neighborhood feel a lot It was wonderful to sit on that bench and watch the sunset over the lake and was so serene Hope to stay there again sometime Ashley was great

Great place right down in the water. My only complaint was that the internet kept going out. Other than that, super cute place & great location.

This place was way more than enough space for three of us, in fact at the price point it’s a great deal for the size. There is a beautiful waterfall right by the entryway, I kept my bedroom window open all night so I could hear it. Everything was really clean and we were able to use the kitchen to cook breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. They have some older TVs that are CRT based, so if you have an old NES with Duck Hunt bring it!!! Duck Hunt won’t work on new HDTVs. We were on motorcycles so we parked out front. The back parking lot is gravel and there’s a little bit of a rough entryway if you’re on bikes. Laundry room is big and works great. I wish we had more time to spend around the area. It was nice and quiet and very clean.

This is the second time we have stayed at this place and it is the best place in town. We slept very well during the evening and enjoyed the amazing views during the day. Location is ideal and the parking garage guaranteed downtown parking in cape. Definitely recommend.

We were in town for a girls get away with some hiking and Twisted Sister was perfect! Such a beautiful setting and so close to the places we wanted to go. It was super easy to get in, very clean, and had everything we needed to cook for ourselves as we prefer to do. We also enjoyed strawberries from Flamm Orchard, and great hikes at nearby Little Grand Canyon and Cove Hollow, plus of course Giant City State Park. Candace was an excellent hostess. She lives next door but gave us complete privacy. And when I had questions or wanted recommendations she was super responsive. It made us feel safe and cared for. It is so nice that she shares her beautiful property with guests in this way. We will be back!

We had a group of 15 and this home was absolutely perfect for our stay! There’s a ton of gathering space, especially in the living room where the large couch and footrest easily accommodated everyone. The multiple dining areas upstairs also made mealtimes easy and comfortable. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked — we cooked every meal for all 15 of us without any issues. Having the extra fridge downstairs was a huge plus for storing all our food and drinks. The outdoor area is truly picturesque. We loved lounging on the deck, soaking in the peaceful surroundings, and listening to the local wildlife. All of the bedrooms were spacious, and it was a huge bonus that everyone upstairs had their own bathroom. The home had everything we needed and more — highly recommend for large groups!

The house was wonderful, clean, and relaxing to stay at. Bell was very friendly and answered any questions we had. The lake was very relaxing. Would definitely stay there again.

Elizabeth’s airbnb was amazing for our group! It was in a great location only 2 mins from downtown Cape Girardeau, and was perfect for a larger group.

Our stay at this lake house was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the thoughtful touches and attention to detail. The living room’s large windows, provided breathtaking views of the lake. It had every appliance and utensil we needed, along with thoughtful extras like spices, oil, and coffee filters. The bathrooms were equipped with ample towels and toiletries. We enjoyed peaceful mornings on the deck, sipping coffee, cruising the lake, and watching the wildlife. The quiet surroundings made it easy to relax and unwind. We can’t wait to come back and stay again!!

Great place! Very clean and cute! Came for a festival near by and had a wonderful stay.

Our stay was wonderful! With in driving distance of the things we wanted to do but so quiet and peaceful when we got back!
