Enjoy a stylish experience in this centrally located home. Uldgade is Tønder's most beautiful and famous street. The house is centrally located a few meters from Tønder's cozy pedestrian street with cafes and shops. There are a few meters to the park and the nature area at Vidåen. The marsh with all its experiences is right outside the door, and if you are into the Black Sun, there is plenty of opportunity to experience this amazing phenomenon. This is what holiday dreams under thatched roofs look like: The Frisian cottage "Kliemkiker" was newly built in 2016: 120 square meters of living space for up to 4 people on a nearly 1000 square meter plot with fantastic views, directly on the Wadden Sea National Park. A dog is also very welcome. All North Frisian islands (Sylt, Föhr, Amrum) and Halligen (e.g. Hooge, Gröde, Langeness) as well as the islands of Pellworm and Römö in Denmark are easily reached by car, train or boat as a day trip.

Here you can relax and start excursions to the surrounding area. The house is situated in an idyllic location on the marsh hiking trail. The apartment is located in a half of the house that is separately accessible for guests. It offers a lounge area, a reading corner, a kitchen, 3 double rooms and 3 bathrooms. The hosts live in the other half of the house. In the guest garden you can relax or let off steam on the trampoline. An additional room in the passage area has been added.

Halmhuset - The Straw House

Our thatched house is probably the only "Halmhuset" that is rented as a vacation home in Denmark. It is breathable, made of clay and straw, and is sustainably supplied by heat pump and photovoltaics. In summer, the thick walls provide pleasant coolness, in winter it is cozy and warm, with a room height of up to 4 meters. A real feel-good place for up to 8 people, located at the gates of the city of Tønder, close to the Wadden Sea National Park and the islands of Sylt and Rømø.

The house has been newly renovated and has particularly unique furniture with attention to detail. The house has a large garden with a fire bowl in which every summer night becomes a beautiful memory. In the immediate vicinity (10 km) you are already on the North Sea and after only two train stations you are on Sylt. The cottage is a popular destination not only in summer, but also in winter it impresses with its coziness, to which the stove in the living area contributes.

From Humptrup, the North Sea is about 20 km away! The ideal starting point for day trips to the North Frisian islands and Halligen (e.g. Sylt, Föhr, Amrum, Hooge, Oland, Hamburger Hallig). The Nolde Museum is in the immediate vicinity and Denmark is only 3 km away.

We have modernized the approximately 200 m² vacation home "Mein Nordstern" with a lot of love for detail. We have equipped and furnished the house the way we like it best. Thus, in addition to design classics, there are high-quality beds and carefully selected kitchen utensils that make the house modern and cozy overall. We now also have a sauna in the house.
