We cannot express how grateful we were to find Tina's property in our search for our trip to Nova Scotia. We wanted something quiet with a stunning view and this property did not disappoint. The property was exactly as described and shown, however once we arrived the description & pictures were X 100 ! Absolutely stunning location, the view was incredible, the house was gorgeous, beds were very comfortable and there wasn't a single detail overlooked on the entire property. We spent 6 nights and it was truly not long enough! We are anxiously planning our next visit for next year and cannot wait to stay at Tina's again. Thank you Tina !!

Follow the directions and you’ll find the cabin hidden away in the woods—it seriously feels like stepping into Narnia! It’s the perfect little escape for a weekend. Even though it’s a rustic cabin, it’s got all the essentials. The outdoor shower was a nice touch—really refreshing, and yes, there’s hot water!

Top shelf accommodation on the South Shore! From waking up to the sun rising over Hirtle Beach to listening to waves crashing around the surrounding bays on either side of this property in the evenings, this retreat truly gives you time and space to relax and turn everything off. As the old real estate saying goes— location, location, location, and this one can’t be beat… atop a hillside with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean, Hirtle Beach, nearby farmland, deer grazing on the front lawn as the morning dew lifts for the day, and properties of architectural admiration in all directions. The house itself is well-equipped with everything you need and nothing you don’t. We enjoyed a few beautiful homemade dining experiences al fresco at the outdoor picnic table. The space is ultra functional and very comfortable— you’ll feel right at ‘home’. Our days were spent exploring nearby iconic beaches (Carter’s, Crescent, Hirtle, to name a few), and getting the local pulse of Lunenberg and Mahone Bay, with a quick day trip to Halifax (Bicycle Thief resto is our fav!). Paul and Alexandra top the charts as the BEST hosts. They made sure we arrived okay, provided excellent recommendations for nearby dining & activities, did a mid-way check in to make sure we were getting on, and a warm send off on our day of departure. To wrap up what could be an even more lengthy review, we’ll leave it at this: we hope to return and thank you for opening the door to your beautiful & unique home— there is certainly some magic there!

We had a wonderful stay at Pumpkin cottage. The advertisment just does not do the place justice. Barbara was a wonderful host and the property had everything you could think of. The decor was my style and loved having access to different areas of the home. Clean, tidy and friendly hosts. What more do you need. 5/5=would be back and would recommend to others. One little niggle is it would have been good to have some kind of Aircon. Fridge and eating utensils. Excellent

My mom and I stayed at Dottie’s place for the Thanksgiving long weekend and really enjoyed our stay! Dottie’s place is very cozy and located in a spectacularly beautiful seaside setting. Dottie was very responsive and considerate in her communication with me, gave clear instructions on how to access a key to enter the home, and left some nice touches to welcome my mom and me. The home had everything we needed for our weekend away and we greatly enjoyed the tranquil setting. Beautiful beaches are close by to explore, I highly recommend a visit to the Rose Bay Store & Bistro - they make a very nice chai latte, we had a delicious brunch, and we picked up tasty bakery items/snacks - and would also suggest trying the pizza at Dear Emma Pizza & Wine bar - we found the pizza a little pricey but very tasty! Also, to see or purchase some beautiful ocean-inspired art of various kinds, pay a visit to WaveWood Designs on the Kingsburg Rd. Overall, a wonderful stay in Rose Bay!

The peaceful lake front view is amazing. We already can't wait to go back. Kayaking, relaxing, and soaking in the sounds of the atmosphere was perfect.

Warm and comfortable as well as beautifully decorated and cared for my stay was a perfect blend of helpful advice and conversation. I also had privacy in the Airbnb space. Charming in every way. I plan to return as this area is rich in culture, good food, friendly people and natural beauty.
