We had a fantastic stay at the place - super nice and quiet surroundings in the middle of nature! Christina and her husband were also there - we had a very nice and extensive conversation and felt very comfortable. Individually furnished accommodation, typically Scandinavian - everything you need. The island is quite easy to explore - everyone on site was consistently friendly and open and the nature really seeks its equal. We fell in love - we will be happy to come back for the Swedish summer as in the picture book. Only tip: take a close look at how ferries travel to and from the island (but Christina is/was also very flexible and accommodating). We will be happy to come back!!

What a fantastic place! We enjoyed it very much. Beautiful nature with a camping feeling. The cottage is rather small but very nice. And our daughters really enjoyed the separate guest house. The large garden with all its magical places is wonderful. Alex is a great host, always responded quickly and solved any problems. He even prepared the whirlpool for us. And his dog Audrey is adorable. We can highly recommend this accommodation and hope to come back one day. Thank you Alex!

Cosy cottage on a calm and beautiful island

We had a great time on the island. For us, a small family with two children, the small house was the perfect compromise between being in the city, but also having the possibility to be in nature. Michael was very friendly and helpful. The fact that we could use the canoe, was a very nice extra. It gave us the possibility to do something active rather than just being in the city of Stockholm. The ferry to the mainland, which is included in the public transport, was also nice for us to take. We had a very nice stay. Thanks Michael!

I really enjoyed the time in the little cottage and it went by way too fast. The area is fantastic for hiking and paddling (even if the weather unfortunately did not cooperate). Linda was very helpful and extremely friendly. I highly recommend the accommodation: clean, well-equipped and cozy.

We had a wonderful two nights at Jonas's place! We were able to rent some bikes from him that helped us to adventure into neighboring islands, and we had a great hike and picnic there. The place is perfect, the kitchen outfitted with all we needed for a couple of simple meals. Jonas was responsive, kind and helpful especially in orienting us to the area. A wonderful respite from the city!

Nice newly built cottage equipped with everything you needed. Quiet location in the woods near the lake and Högbo mill with all it has to offer. Highly recommended! Pleasant and fast communication with the host.

Our stay at this unforgettable Airbnb on Varholma was truly a dream come true. Nestled in a peaceful and remote location, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life—a true haven for slowing down and reconnecting with nature. The house itself is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, with cozy Scandinavian interiors and so much attention to detail. Every corner feels warm, inviting, and filled with love. Whether it’s raining or the sun is shining, this place offers the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. And the sunsets? Simply breathtaking. Sitting outside in the evening, watching the sky turn golden over the water, was an experience we’ll never forget. We can’t recommend this magical spot enough!

We spent a relaxing long weekend at the cabin with our 2 small dogs and cat. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and had plenty of cooking tools. I appreciated that heaters were already set up in the cabin and toilet so that they were cozy for our arrival! We enjoyed walking around the area, seeing the birds and enjoying the views over the open farmland. I can definitely recommend this place for a short getaway. Mattias and Yvette were responsive and friendly, including helping mail my keys to me when I forgot them. All in all, this rental was a great experience.

It was just great!!! We were in Victoria's house in the first week of June, had 3 wonderful sunsets out of 6 nights. The landlady lived next door, we were allowed to use the private jetty. In our time, there wasn't much going on in the village (only on weekends a café was open), but it was wonderfully quiet. Supermarket and pizzeria were open, in Södersvik there is a great bakery. Modern and well thought-out equipment in the hut, even an umbrella was available. WiFi worked great, the large window was a dream. We spent a day in Stockholm. The landlady gave us the tip to park in the free commuter parking lot in the south of Norrtälje. From there, a bus runs directly to Stockholm every 20 minutes. Payable on the bus, was great👌🏻 Clear recommendation!

Lena's place is relaxing as it has a beautiful garden 🪴 surrounding it! Lean is super kind and friendly, as is her entire family! There are beautiful forests nearby you can walk in with wildlife and flowers (if you come in spring and summer). There is a grocery store within a 10 min walk, as well as a bus stop near the store, where you can ride to the train that takes you into the city. I recommend this place if you prefer coming home to calm & nature after your days out! 🥰

The four of us stayed at this home for nine nights. We arrived by public transport. Together with the outdoor area there was enough space, on rainy days it got a little cramped. The property is about 6 minutes by bus from Rimbo, where you can shop. In Rimbo there is also a delivery point for kayaks, unfortunately sea companions were missing at the property itself. The basic amenities were sufficient, we usually cooked. There is an outdoor shower with hot water and a plum toilet. There is no wifi. The communication with the landlady was always prompt and straightforward. We would recommend a stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay here. The place is very calm, with the back patio facing the sunset and surrounded by nature. We were offered veggies from the garden to supplement our cooking, recommendations for places to swim and walk, and even a rhubarb crumble for desert! The hosts were very generous and helpful. The home is cozy, four of us stayed and while quite intimate, we were comfortable. We cooked many meals with the hot plate on the back patio to expand the space and enjoy nature. The kitchen/bathroom ceilings are roughly 1.80m which shouldn't be a problem for most (three of us are near 2m so it took some adjustment). The first evening we had an issue with power but the hosts were quick to offer a solution and ensure everything was operating well! We enjoyed walking to the lake for swims (took us about 20 minutes to walk), and the ocean for a beach day (took us about an hour to walk to Morabadet, which was worth the walk). Absolutely recommend!

It is a wonderfull place to stay. It is a cosy guest house with everything you need. Very nice to remotely work from there. Jan & Jenny were very kind and helpfull so it was easy to feel at home. Thank you! The neighbourhood is beautiful, bakery/coffee place Gateau is around a 400meter walk and so close to the water and many nice routes to walk. Definitely recommened :)

A nice cottage with a warm interior and an even better patio. We had a great time staying in the house and really enjoyed our visit.

The perfect spot to celebrate midsummer in a peaceful and beautiful environment. Erik warmly welcomed us and was excited that we stayed at his Airbnb. The living/bedroom cabin is amazing, very cosy! The kitchen and bathroom are basic, but we loved living a bit more 'primitive' and it had all we needed. Lastly the Airbnb comes with a canoe and we made a short trip to the opposite island which was uninhabited and fun to explore!
