"The blue nest" Solbakken Microhouse

Enjoy the nature and the views you get when you get up to the top of this newly built Microhouse. This is the highest of the two Microhouses in Solbakken, where they are both located in the surroundings of animals and art. Gallery Solbakkestova with its beautiful sculpture garden is located just next to the house. Goats graze in front, and you can see alpacas on the other side. The house is located in a rural area, but is close to the city center and bus. Walking and cycling paths pass by, and the hiking trail up to Liafjellet is close by.

This is a regular Norwegian residential house with a unique location. Here you can explore the Hardangerfjord or you can go on spectacular mountain hikes. Uskedalen has one of Norway's best climbing opportunities in the mountains surrounding the small village. From the house you can stroll 50 meters down to the lake where you can swim or fish. Public beach is about 300 m away from the house.

We are a family of 4 who rent out the main floor. We live in a peaceful courtyard surrounded by listed buildings. The main floor consists of 2 bedrooms with a double bed + an office with a single bed (with a curtain). Fully equipped kitchen with oven, TV lounge, office and living room, terrace in front of/behind the house. We also have our own beach that can be used. The host is living on the ground floor.

The cottage is located in quiet surroundings and you're going to love our place because it's located right by the fjord. You can easily go fishing and hiking or just relax and enjoying the view. Furthermore, the quiet surroundings make it magical when you take a bath in the jacuzzi while watching the sunset. We highly recommend a hike to Himakånå. It is also possible to take a day trip to the Pulpit Rock.
