Chalet Salamandre

Enjoy the peace, the view and the comfort of this stylish chalet. Very suitable as a romantic getaway or relaxing in nature with your family. We are at 650 meters altitude, in a hot summer it is always a little cooler than in the valley and with a breeze, very pleasant. At night, the lake cools down and it's a good night's sleep. We don't need air conditioning. Dogs are welcome, €15 per stay. For the winter months there is a wood stove. The firewood is not included in the rental.

Here are plenty of walks to be had around the gîte, and if you enjoy hiking or cycling, this is the ideal place, with its footpaths and the "voie verte" ! The gîte is close to 2 long-distance footpaths (GR7 and GR78). Mirepoix, Carcassonne, Fanjeaux, Chalabre and Camon, the Cathar castles. To diversify your activities, the sea is just 1h20 away and ski resorts are only 1h away.

Our peaceful house is located in a quiet village a short distance from Mirepoix. Accommodation is on the first floor and comprises of a large open plan living space with kitchen, dining and living room. There are two bedrooms and a modern bathroom . Relax on the small balcony with view of the Pyrenees or in the private garden. The area has so much to offer with it's famous Cathar castles such as Montségur and Montbel lake only a few kilometres away.
