Holiday rentals with a patio in Valle Azul

We absolutely loved our stay! The location was perfect—close to a variety of tours, great places to eat, and local attractions. One of our favorite spots, El Salto (the rope swing), was just a 5-minute walk away! The space itself was cozy, comfortable, and very welcoming. We especially enjoyed spotting hummingbirds around the property and catching views of the volcano on clear days—such a treat! Everything about our stay was incredible. The only small note is that the place provides two body towels, which may be a bit limiting for longer stays. It’s also helpful to bring your own quick-dry towels for excursions, as the provided ones aren’t allowed outside the property. Otherwise, it was a fantastic experience and we’d definitely come back!

The place was beautiful, and although it looked great in the photos, in person it is much more. The area is very quiet and the amenities of the suite are very useful and enjoyable, in addition to the fact that there are very good restaurants around (I highly recommend the nearby pizza restaurant), the only aspect is that perhaps the gates require more oil to go up or down faster, but it did not affect the stay at all. Highly recommended and I would definitely go again.

Our other reservation cancelled on us 30 minutes before check-in with no explanation. I found this place and reached out, I was contacted in minutes and in the house in 30 minutes. Big relief for my family of 6 in a foreign country.

Great place to stay near the airport for an early morning flight. The view is beautiful! The apartment is well equipped. The Hosts were responsive and helpful. I’d stay again!

Our time at Danta Santa was truly amazing ! We loved how private the location felt and how beautiful it was. The pictures looked exactly like the pictures and somehow in person it was more breathtaking! Although it rained a lot during our stay we didn’t mind because the Airbnb was truly our own oasis. We loved that we had the option to have the place fully opened or closed. The space was perfect for a couple trying to get away from a crowded city. We loved that everything was nearby, such as the restaurants and activities. Everything was 20 mins away or less. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, modern and cozy place to stay! We will definitely be retuning and booking Danta Santa.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The balcony is the true highlight—perfect for watching wildlife. We spotted 54 bird species on the property, including the charismatic Three-wattled Bellbird, watched a troop of nine monkeys, and even saw a compost-diving coati—all from the comfort of the balcony. The hosts were fantastic at communicating, and the lodging was clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. All the amenities and equipment worked perfectly, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals for a week. There’s also a small grocery and bakery conveniently located across the street. The location is excellent—within a 10-minute walk you’ll find Curi Cancha Reserve, Bajo del Tigre, the Monteverde Waterfall, and the Crandall Reserve, which is accessible directly from the property. There is some occasional road noise from motorcycles and milk trucks, but the incredible wildlife and comfort more than make up for it. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a front-row seat

We stayed the night after getting into SJO very late and needing to pick up the other half of our group from the airport in the morning. It was VERY close to the airport (maybe 7 minute drive). Navigating in Costa Rica is always an adventure but Eliseo made it easy. The apartment was very clean and as described. It was the perfect place to get some sleep and clean up after a long night of travel. Easy check in late at night with a lockbox and key code.

Everything was very clean and tidy, it even had snacks and welcome juice, the cabin is private and with everything you need to have a good time, a good size screen, a kitchen equipped with several spices for cooking and Jeannette even offered us information about restaurants with home delivery in the area for our convenience.

Very quiet place, excellent facilities

Great place. Being from the USA, it really made me feel immersed into the costa rica culture, while also feeling safe at home.

Very nice house. Clean and family friendly. Kitchen is nice. There are a lot of bugs in the rain forest so keep the windows closed! Coming from Florida USA so bugs are normal, but if you are not use to the tropics then bring bug spray for mosquitos. If you are from CR, like my partner, then you already know to keep doors and windows shut especially at night. AC was nice to have after a long day of being outside. Very close to hot springs. The markets and restaurants are great. Overall this place is really nice for a chill small group of people. This stay made our small family reunion feel comfortable and complete. It was 6 and 1/2 of us (1 baby) but this place is actually bigger than we thought. Very spacious and more than enough bed space. House keeping rules are simple. AC off when you leave the house to save for the environment! I hope who ever reads this has a great time like we did! Thank you John and Tati for your great hospitality.

Great place to stay! Nice view of the mountains, big rooms and good kitchen. Good location to do some activities in the area. We only stayed for one night but we could check-in early en enjoyed our stay!

The most incredible view! One of the best locations we have ever stayed for sunsets, dramatic views, and wildlife. Wonderful hosts. I will add...this is a great place for explorers. It's not ideal for high maintenance folks. There are bugs, that get into the house. There's no AC - although the fans and mountain air made it comfortable for us. Very remote - amazing if that floats your boat - be ready to drive for any stores/restaurants etc. Overall, highly recommend 5 stars. If you're looking for luxury, look somewhere else.

Beautiful property! Our family had a wonderful stay. Marlen was a very nice host and responsive to all our needs. We would highly recommend staying here. You get the secluded mountain feel while being close to the airport.

Jose, his family and friends were more than welcoming to us from the moment we came to the Airbnb! Quick responses and always there to lend us a hand or guide us to anything we may need! Amazing food at a local restaurant, horseback riding on his land with lots of things to see and learn about! His pool at the Airbnb was absolutely amazing! We loved getting to meet his family members and socializing with them! I would highly recommend this Airbnb to everyone in near the La Fortuna area!!! Ps wait until you see his 2nd one they are building right now!! Thank you soo very much! We loved everyone moment at your home!

Definitely recommend! The view of the mountain was so beautiful when the sun was out. It was close enough to restaurants and activities via car. It was also secluded enough that it felt truly like a vacation without the hustle and bustle of the city. I’m so happy we chose this Airbnb instead of a hotel :) I just wish it didn’t rain so much so we could utilize the fire pit. Sit on the balcony for a bit and take it all in <3 Lastly, the neighbors dogs only bark when someone is near btw, perfect security system if you ask me!

We had a great stay, and we will probably want to stay again! The rooms were very comfortable, everyone was very nice and helpful. We really appreciated that each room had AC. The area is nice and quiet but super close to the mall which was very convenient. 10/10
