Cottage holiday rentals in Valley Head

Came to take our 8.5 year old dog to see mountains. The Garden Cottage was squeaky clean, comfy cozy, and fantastic. The flowers and plants were gorgeous; I felt like a hobbit in the shire (high compliment). We cooked every night and never were without. Excellent WiFi, quiet area. The rooms don’t have ceilings so you can hear the TV In the living room or room next to you but honestly, yall will all be tuckered out. It gave it a summer camp vibe and each room had its own fans that would drown out noise if you wanted it too (plus AC). We will certainly be back And sharing this gem with our friends.

Magical and beautiful Bedrock Cottage! Clean, spacious, comfortable bed and pillows, WiFi and I loved visiting the koi fish pond that’s on this beautiful property. There’s a rooftop too! Watching hang gliders up in the sky was really cool! Rick is so welcoming and friendly, couldn’t ask for a nicer host! Absolutely loved our 3 nights stay!

I loved this property on the top of Lookout Mtn, GA. The property has just been taken over by new owners in the last 6 months. About 10 cottages all newly renovated. They are clean, fresh and well appointed, including robes and nice thick towels. You park you car right next to the cottage, very convenient. The host Jamie and the staff all super friendly. Breakfast is included with the stay. Served at the Inn every morning at 830. The inn, is quaint with flowers on the table. Coffee, teas, juice. Real china , silverware and cloth napkins. Fruit, bacon, eggs, pastries, grits are self serve. First morning they brought bread pudding to the table the next morning avacado toast. You can take long walks through the local neigborhoods. Ruby Falls, Rock City and the Incline Railway and numerous hiking trails, all super close and Chattanoga is 20 minutes away. Very nice place. Great for groups. Small pool to splash in and hot tub. Highly recommended for a relaxed stay.

The perfect place to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary! This place was exactly as described. Clean, beautiful, quiet. So relaxing! We had everything we needed for a quiet weekend in. The attention to detail really shows the love and care put into this place. Even checking in on us when we had some bad weather to make sure we had power and to know where the emergency flashlights and lanterns were stored. Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Enjoyed spending time as a family (dogs included). Great responsive hospitality.

Our family really enjoyed our time here. It was our first cabin experience and the kids loved it! The staff were incredibly kind and the home cooked breakfast, prepared by Jamie, was phenomenal. We enjoyed the quietness and listening to the wind cut through the trees while lounging outside. We are a family of 7 (4 young kids and 1 infant) and the sleeping space was adequate. Everyone raved about how comfortable the beds are. The location was just minutes away from Ruby Falls which was our destination and why we rested in this area. So glad we came across Timberroot and will look out for their other properties for future rustic travel plans.

If you’re looking for something beautiful and private this is it. Travel for a living and sometimes you want the feeling of home away from home and this is it.

I loved staying in Emmye and Seth's place. It was cozy and welcoming and I felt right at home. I loved the privacy and peace of the neighborhood and I appreciated that I could take a walk without driving anywhere first. I hiked every day and felt so connected with nature in Mentone. I cherished my mornings on the swing on the back deck, sipping my coffee and reading. Utter bliss. The house is so close to great hikes and waterfalls. I loved eating at the Wildflower Cafe across the street and the Vintage 1889 in Fort Payne. I will definitely be back! Loved my experience!

We had a great little getaway here - saw beautiful sunsets, had a huge bedroom with a very comfortable king bed, nice bathroom with large walk in shower, giant tv and cute little kitchen! We had privacy and were able to bring our dog as well!! Host was very quick to respond and friendly! We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely would stay here again! The inn keeper is top notch. Everything was clean and beautiful.

Denises' place was a little piece of Heaven. To start Denise was highly responsive and a clear communicator. I was traveling with my 83 yr old mother whom can't maneuver many steps so, I needed to find a place that was easily accessible. This was certainly it! No steps, beautifully appointed, clean shower, and bathrooms on main. The beds and linens were as soft and as comfortable as my own at home. The home is nestled at the bottom of the mountain right up against the bedrock. They have actually built the decking around the bedrock which was a wonderful little feature that showed such creativity. The kitchen was Very Well appointed and very clean. Denise had left homemade Molasses cookies in the freezer for us to heat up. This was a big hit with Mom and her friends who came to visit her! :) The neighborhood was quiet, peaceful and definitely higher end. The entire home was decorated quite tastefully with clearly much thought behind it. We will definitely be back to this lovely

We chose this place because we love Mentone, DeSoto St Park, just the whole area and I was looking for enough room for 6 of us and our dog. Our doodle vacations with us and this house was perfect with a large front yard on a quiet street. It was a meet in the middle place for our group. We like to cook, play games, puzzle, hike while we are here and Misti's place had great spaces especially for games and puzzles and was so cozy with the propane heaters and fireplace. Our power went out during the night in a storm but we were able to stay until it was restored because of the light from all the windows and we were plenty warm with the fireplace. We made use of the generous gift for breakfast for 2 at Hatter's in Mentone. Reservations are recommended for the best experience and we really had a nice time. It is a wonderfully unique place and the food was great. I loved that this was not the cookie cutter cabin but a beautiful cottage with attention to detail. We would happily return.

Simple, charming cottage with Rock City memorabilia, 2 parking spaces, and a home-cooked breakfast.

This place was amazing. Very private, and clean. The location couldn’t have been better. We sat down at the docks for hours and just felt great. Very small town, but good restaurants, and the bigger cities are within 30 minutes. Jessica was a great host and we can’t wait to come back.

Stefanee’s place was very comfortable for our family. This is our second stay here. We enjoyed the convenient location, the historic neighborhood, closeness to the river walk, and the relaxing porch swing. The new tv was great. We also enjoyed the morning coffee and hot chocolate.

We were upgraded to the upstairs of the Cove house. The experience spoiled my family and we had a wonderful time.

One of our new favorite places to stay! Kerry was extremely helpful and responsive. Checked in on us during bad weather! We went to one of the recommended places to eat (docks and decks) and it was FANTASTIC! My son loved the tree house as well as the playgroundand my wife loves the screened in porches yes 2 of them and I loved the lake being an avid fisherman even caught a bass right off the bank! We will definitely be back!

This place is just beautiful! It is so serene and not one detail was missed. Everything is perfectly clean, decorated and labeled. The beds and pillows were super comfortable too. It felt just like home to us! We really enjoyed our mornings on the porch watching the wildlife. We even saw deer and an adorable groundhog! Check in was a breeze with our great host! Would absolutely love to visit again and will definitely recommend to anyone we know heading to this area!

Stay here! If you ever wanted to experience farm living without any work (or bad smells) and just enjoy it all this is the place! The cows and donkeys are so cool! They leave treats for you to feed them (only if you want to). There was nothing they didn’t think of! Great kitchen with amazing homey touches! Less than 10 min is an amazing waterfall hike that’s EASY (you can walk from your car to the falls in less than a min). Around there are about 30 hikes all within 40 min! Or you can relax and eat snores that they provide. You won’t forget the stars you get to see on the lookout! This place was perfect for our anniversary! The history of the place is also great! Beds were super comfy! Especially after hiking all day, we slept great! 10/10 for sure!
