Hideaway at Santeetlah Heights

This is the perfect getaway spot to unplug and unwind. The views are spectacular, the hikes are great and the lake being so close was perfect. Our 2 year old had a great time on the trails and hammocks up top as well as swimming in the lake. If you need suggestions on what to do the guidebook (or contacting the hosts) will give you all the info you need. The hosts are there to answer any and all questions incredibly quickly as well as lead you in the right direction for things to do. The kitchen is well stocked so if you want to stay on site just pack groceries and you’ll never want to leave. This cabin is nice and private with all the romantic touches. We definitely will be back to keep exploring the area!

Omg, this may be one of the best stays I have ever had. I took a solo relaxing trip and Ms Joy eased my anxiety. She answered whatever question I had, no matter the time or day. Her home was so beautiful, relaxing, peaceful, and accommodating. She also supplied other necessities you may have needed, in case you left it at home. I cannot wait til I can return.

It was in a beautiful and peaceful location. Hosts were responsive and very helpful. We were offered and accepted a tour of their inn and were told of the many historic events that happened there or near the area. Our only surprise was when a hornet entered the cabin as we were unloading our stuff from the car. I guess we left the cabin door open too long, and on a related note, I am severely allergic to hornets. Jessica dropped her items and came jogging to the area to take care of it. She removed the hornet and we saw no more of his friends for the rest of the trip. We will definitely check their cabin out next year! Thank you both! Christie

Absolutely loved our stay at this charming mini cabin in the mountains! It was the perfect mix of cozy and adventurous. The cabin was spotless, well equipped, and thoughtfully arranged to make the most of the small space without ever feeling cramped. The highlight for our family was definitely the small farm the kids were overjoyed spending time with the chickens, goats, bunnies, and the friendly dogs and cat. The loft beds were a big hit too! The peaceful mountain setting made for a beautiful and relaxing escape, and the hosts were so warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. If you're looking for a clean, peaceful, family friendly getaway with a touch of farm life and mountain magic, this place is an absolute gem. We'll definitely be back!
