We really enjoyed our stay. Nice scenery and well maintained gardens, pool. Little TLC needed in our room (TV stand loose), and iron was damaged - which was rectified timeously. We were also pleased that unit has a full electricity backup system.

accommodation world class. restaurant felt like i was eating pizza in Italy. activities, padel !! volleyball and the pools are incredible! fishing is amazing, water is beautiful Howard and his team are an absolute delight

The place is very clean and has everything you need for a vacation. The view is also amazing. Would definately go back there.

Stayed at Anchorage for 3 nights as last minute booking. Everything was fully booked at Vaal Marina for 8 people accommodation as I left it to the last minute, so naturally I though since the Anchorage was still available it would be not so nice.......how mistaken I was. Everything, but I mean everything was excellent, and I could write much about it which would make this review too long to read, but The Anchorage is a lovely getaway with lovely surroundings. Had a sit-down dinner at restaurant which was long to prepare the food......but hey, no rush we were after all relaxing, the food was excellent, and good food takes time to prepare. The real gem of The Anchorage is not the place, although very beautiful with much to do and can't be faulted. The real gem are the people running it, from the ladies at reception office, Jaco the marketing manager to the owner Howard who are at all times available and extremely friendly and helpful. People that love what they do.

We were attending a sports event in Sasolburg and this was a perfect base - easy 15 minute drive to the stadium and really lovely apartment and estate to return to after a busy day. Beautiful, well-appointed apartment, thank you Danie.

Friendly host that is always available to assist when required. The place is quiet and peaceful but also not too far from town if you need something. I enjoyed my stay and so did my friends

The place was as lovely as in the pictures. Howard is one of the best and most helpful hosts I have come across. Fishing at the dam was lovely with excellent views. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!

Was not our first stay and won’t be the last...:)

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely weekend at Howard's place. The unit was clean and comfortable,We felt like we were in a hotel . The flexibility Howard offers in regards to checking in or out is also great, we had arrived late at night and he was very understanding of our situation. The unit is well stocked with the necessary cookware and crockery. My husband enjoyed fishing on the dam front and he even caught his first ever fish, which was very memorable. We had a great memorable stay and we plan to return again :)

We had a great weekend and we had lots of fun... the dam was full and my son loved the swimming pool. The units are clean and spacious. We will definitely go again.

Overall our stay was fantastic! The unit was immaculate, the resort stunning and the host responsive when contacted. Check in instructions could have been clearer, there was a daily fee for housekeeping which was not brought to our attention prior to booking(in reality we did not need the service) and disappointingly, we had to clean the braai ourselves as it had not been cleaned after use by previous guests. Everything considered, we would definitely back in the future. Resort is highly recommended if you are into fishing, boating, dirt biking etc but great for relaxing as well. There is plenty to keep the kids busy as well.
