In the beautiful Sörmländska countryside on road 223 between Nyköping and Björnlunda, there is a small cottage on the farm Uvsta Östergården. The cottage is located on an old small farm where we currently run a café. There we have a flea market and shop with furnishings for home and garden. The café serves lighter lunches and has good pastries. Breakfast is available for purchase in the café. Cozy garden that looks out over the fields. Bakarstuga is an older charming cottage of 35 sqm from the 1800s with beautiful views of the fields. Low ceilings!

Kom och bo i vårat mysiga 1800-tals hus i hjärtat av gården. Skridskoåkning vid kallt väder och pulka vid mycket snö på gården. * Tillgång till vedeldad bastu finns för 300kr per gång. * Grillning vid timmerstugan i den intilliggande skogen är möjlig. * Strand vid Mälaren finns några kilometer bort. * Strängnäs centrum ligger ca en halv mil från gården. * Sängkläder samt handdukar tas med av gästen, men kan hyras för 50 kr per gäst. Förbokas. * Ägg och potatis finns att köpa på gården.

A simple little house where you can sleep and prepare basic meals while enjoying everything that Mariefred has to offer. The house is only 15 sqm, so it’s small but cozy. There is a bed that is 140 cm wide, a small writing desk with a chair, and a small table with two stools. There is a TV with Netflix, Telia Play, and Disney+. There is also a small kitchenette with two hotplates and a portable fan. Parking is available on the street outside or elsewhere nearby.

Our first guest used the cottage as a writing retreat for a documentary. The couple who came after wanted to visit the Swedish countryside and hoped to see bears (note: there are no bears here). Welcome to our carefully renovated house from the 1600s! Here you live next to Strängnäs Cathedral and have the city center nearby. Our charming house also has an exciting story to tell. The house has had the privilege of being included in the popular history and building conservation program on TV, SVT "Det sitter i väggarna" in the fall of 2023.
