Holiday rentals with lake access in Vaxholm

Il nostro soggiorno presso la casa di Hans e Lena è stato molto piacevole. La casa corrisponde esattamente alle fotografie e alla descrizione, è molto accogliente e dotata di ogni comfort. È facile spostarsi con i mezzi pubblici: a pochi minuti a piedi dalla casa c’è infatti la fermata del pullman che in 30/40 minuti porta a Stoccolma. I dintorni della casa sono tranquilli e la vista sul canale è molto suggestiva. Purtroppo, per questione di orari, non abbiamo avuto il piacere di conoscere Hans e Lena di persona, ma abbiamo conosciuto il figlio, molto disponibile. In ogni caso gli host sono stati sempre disponibili tramite telefono e ci hanno fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie.

Staying at this lakeside house by Kroksjön was an exceptional experience. The cleanliness was impeccable everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. The fireplaces were a highlight. Both the traditional wood-burning and modern styles created a warm, cozy atmosphere in the evenings a perfect way to unwind in the middle of nature. The private hot tub overlooking the lake was absolutely amazing. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by peaceful nature was incredibly relaxing and added a special touch to the whole experience. The house is surrounded by pure nature, peaceful, serene, and filled with the calming sound of birdsong. Wallbox charger for our electric car was a major convenience. Highly recommended.

Perfect summer house to escape city life! Highly recommended for those seeking a slow, relaxing lifestyle. The hosts, Jack and Maria, are incredibly warm and welcoming. Their small dog adds even more charm. They were generous and helpful—solving issues like extra mattresses, showing us how to use the sauna, offering fresh vegetables from their garden, and even helping when we had trouble getting back to the cabin. The location is convenient: you can take a bus to Orminge Centrum (with Systembolaget, Willy’s, etc.), and the SL ferry is just 700m away, taking you to Slussen or Vaxholm. The lake is only a 5-minute walk away. Best for people who want to enjoy cabin life and take it slow.🥰 My mistake: I had my family stay here but planned daily trips to Stockholm, which made them tired. Also, with lots of luggage, Bolt rides were costly and hard to book. It’s not that close to the city—either take 3 buses (~1 hr) or walk 700m to the ferry (~1 hr total), with limited schedules.

Vi trivdes otroligt bra i Kristins och Anders vackert renoverade soldattorp med högsta tänkbara standard. Vi älskade bubbelpoolen, bryggan och utsikten. Anders och Kristin är drömvärdar som fixar allt och ger massor av tips. Jag behövde ett litet skrivbord att jobba vid och då fixade dom det direkt. Kopior, tips på suveräna restauranger och kuriosa om omgivningen gav de också. Tack snälla ni! Vi kommer tillbaka och kan varmt rekommendera denna idylliska pärla! ❤️

Mysig stuga på Yxlan. Vi var fyra vuxna och två små barn, stugan hade alt vi behövde och den låg väldigt nära havet.

Jag hade en fantastisk vistelse! Boendet var precis som i beskrivningen – rent, bekvämt och väldigt hemtrevligt. Läget var perfekt, lugnt och tyst på kvällarna. John var otroligt hjälpsam och vänlig, snabb på att svara och gjorde verkligen det lilla extra för att jag skulle känna mig välkommen. Jag skulle absolut rekommendera detta boende till andra och bor gärna här igen.

This is our second time staying here and we can’t wait to come back for a third. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and everything anyone would need. But add in the Jörgen is an amazing host! Responsive to any questions and friendly! The check in and check out process is the easiest we have ever had and we can’t wait to come back again! I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to stay here

I stayed at this airbnb with my family. We are group of 5 people and the house is very spacious and comfortable. The check-in process was very easy and the instructions were very clear. I am very happy that it is in an excellent location, close proximity to the nearest train station, grocery store. The house is very well maintained and the amenities provided by Fredrik was beyond my expectation. The kitchen had ample utilities to cook for more than 5 people. Host was very responsive in communicating with us. I will for sure come back once again to stay at this airbnb.

Best stay ever!!! Es war unglaublich schön, sodass ich spontan noch eine Woche verlängert habe. Das Haus ist so niedlich, gemütlich, perfekt ausgestattet und außergewöhnlich sauber! Bei Ankunft haben mir Robert und Diana die Umgebung gezeigt. Die beiden sind so herzlich und vor Ort und per Nachricht immer erreichbar und unglaublich hilfsbereit. Sie geben super Tipps für Unternehmungen, Restaurants etc. Der See ist wirklich direkt vor der Tür, sehr sauber und toll zum Schwimmen. Ich konnte mir das SUP jederzeit leihen. Auch das Meer ist nur 2 Minuten entfernt. Ich werde die Tage dort niemals vergessen und bin sehr wehmütig abgereist. Ich hatte selten eine so perfekte Unterkunft! DANKE!

Die Wohnung war sehr grosszügig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Sie liegt sehr zentral und es gibt viele leckere Restaurants in der nahen Umgebung. Trotzdem war es angenehm ruhig. Es hatte alles was man braucht und äußerst bequeme Betten. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden wieder diese Unterkunft in Stockholm wählen.

Really lovely apartment - the views are amazing and the photos don’t quite do them justice. Great location and Östermalm has a really nice vibe. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed for a week in this delightful and unique apartment. Self-check in was straightforward. Annika's communication was excellent and the photos were accurate. Great location in Old Town with easy access to Central Station, commuter ferries and tourist buses

Нам дуже сподобалося провести наш час в в помешканні Uzi :) дуже охайна та затишна квартира в тихому районі , де легко можна знайти гарні ресторани або бари. Дуже зручно дістатися на громадському транспорті, до центра міста зовсім поруч. Господар був дуже привітний і допоміг нам у наших питаннях) Нічого негативного сказати не можу, нам все сподобалося дуже) якщо ми ще будем приїжджати в Стокгольм то будемо точно залишатися тільки тут :)

We stayed at Christian and Jaquemine's place for 30 days, and it was our first Airbnb experience. The flat is in a lovely and quiet neighbourhood. The nearby areas are perfect for hiking, with beautiful lakes, islets, beaches, and green forests with deer and other wildlife. Although the location seems far from the city on the map, frequent buses to Slussen take just 30 minutes, making it easy to reach the city centre whenever we wanted. I worked remotely during our stay, and the internet connection and workspace were excellent. The flat has everything one might need, and we never had issues wanting specific items, making it ideal for longer stays. I slept in both sleeping areas, and both were comfortable and spacious. The hosts were welcoming and kind. When my flight was postponed, they kindly offered to store my luggage even after check-out. They provided many thoughtful offers, showing how helpful and caring they are. I have no complaints and highly recommend it!

Wir hatten eine herrliche Zeit in Stockholm! Nach dem täglichen Besichtigungsprogramm dann mit Tunnelbanen und Bus schnell in den ruhigen Vorort, gute Verkehrsanbindung. Entspannter Tagesausklang in netter Gegend am See. Thomas hat uns beim CheckIn sogar von der Bahn abgeholt und gezeigt, wie und wo die UBahn fährt, die Bushaltestellen und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gezeigt, alles super erklärt. Die Wohnung war perfekt mit allem Notwendigen eingerichtet, sehr schön nordisch schlicht und zweckmäßig, sehr geräumig, Bad mit Wanne und Dusche. Küche mit allem ausreichend ausgestattet. Der Kontakt zu Thomas und Madeleine war sehr herzlich, nie aufdringlich und immer zuvorkommend. Wir hatten einen perfekten Urlaub (bei herrlichem Sommerwetter) und danken den beiden sehr für ihre Gastfreundschaft. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Me and my partner had the most wonderful stay at Stina’s cabin. The setting was stunning, even more beautiful than we expected! The cabin had everything we needed for a peaceful and relaxing three days on the island. We had a lovely time rowing the boat to Vindalsö, having saunas and quick dips in the sea, and a barbecue. We took the ferry to Sandhamn for the day- highly recommend for gorgeous beaches and picturesque houses. Stina was really friendly and helpful and also let us do our own thing. An ideal island retreat!

Un véritable petit havre de paix ! Le logement est moderne, bien agencé et parfaitement situé en bord de mer avec une vue imprenable. Nous avons adoré le calme de la nature environnante. Idéal pour se ressourcer. Tout était propre et bien pensé, l’hôte est réactif et accueillant. On recommande vivement !

Very comfortable stay. The location is superb (having a car is very recommended though): Its quiet and peaceful. The sauna is a highlight and worked as intended. If you are looking for a place to retreat in the nature, I can recommend this fully.

Peter and Marin’s sea cottage has a beautiful location, with an ever-interesting view of the sea channel into Stockholm. Lovely forest walks nearby. A very memorable stay.

We had a great time on the island. For us, a small family with two children, the small house was the perfect compromise between being in the city, but also having the possibility to be in nature. Michael was very friendly and helpful. The fact that we could use the canoe, was a very nice extra. It gave us the possibility to do something active rather than just being in the city of Stockholm. The ferry to the mainland, which is included in the public transport, was also nice for us to take. We had a very nice stay. Thanks Michael!

Malin var supervälkomnande och hjälpsam under hela vår helg i stugan. Alltid snabb på att svara. Mycket fin natur och trevliga vandringsleder på gångavstånd. Rekommenderas!

We loved our stay! The location is beautiful with nice walks nearby. The cottage is very well equipped. The sauna and wharf are picturesque. Ulla and Karl-Gustav are the most fantastic hosts. Very kind, responsive and available but also respect the space. We would love to come back!

An idyllic "bush retreat" in the Stockholm archipelago! Host Emelie was incredible – responsive, warm, and helpful from start to finish. Cosy, thoughtfully designed cottage with unique outdoor shower & relaxing patio tub. Well-equipped kitchen & inviting fireplace. Fantastic location: peaceful yet close to Torö stenstrand & Nynäshamn. Emelie's local tips were invaluable. Her exceptional hospitality truly stood out; she went above & beyond (new oars for the boat!). A true gem for a tranquil escape. Highly recommend! Left refreshed & grateful. Can't wait to return!
