I am located right next to the naval base and I am 40 minutes from LA and 30 minutes from Santa Barbara! I am also right next to the PCH which will take you to Malibu and Santa Monica! One of a Kind Mountain Retreat

Loved staying here! Joel was great - very thoughtful and responsive and made us feel comfortable! He added a lot of little touches that shows he really cares about his guests. The space was clean and full of the amenities we could have wanted. I wasn’t aware that we weren’t quite staying in a separate guest house but instead the bottom floor of the home he lives in. We could hear his big sweet dog running around upstairs - FYI in case you’re worried about noise. The drive between the house and main road takes about 3-4 minutes and is extremely steep with winding sharp turns on the side of a hill - wish I would’ve known that at booking, as it felt treacherous enough that I didn’t want to do the drive in the dark and thus felt the need to always be back at the house before sunset. All in all though, it was a great stay and the views were beautiful and have no regrets about it!

Very quaint & clean place, quiet, peaceful neighborhood! Loved the welcoming committee kitty, Mama Durz!! Eva was very responsive and very kind when I had to leave suddenly due to family emergency. Great & comfortable place for quick, reasonably priced overnight stay when traveling through the area. Definitely recommend!

I would go back again and again! I was lucky to get the dates and times it presented and I took it! So glad I did! The waves cleared my mind and the sunset was beautiful. The beach walk was so peaceful and I felt like it was just my personal ocean (hardly no one in sight). Thank you Amber for allowing me the opportunity to stay in this castle! I will be back!

The Nature Retreat - 3Br/3Bd Private Villa

Really nice. Beautiful city lights views. Just a few minutes up the canyon. Part of a triplex, but situated in a way that it is separated and secure. We didn’t see or hear anyone else during our stay. Beds on the firm side. Kitchen is massive and the den feels like a movie theater. Definitely will stay again if we are passing through. If you are looking for a peaceful and serene place to enjoy some downtime, this is the place! Our family spent a long weekend here and it was everything we needed in between field hockey games. Three spacious guest rooms and separate living spaces, it was enough for adults and the kiddos to enjoy separately. The sunset is beautiful from the porch and it felt far enough to fully unwind but close enough if we needed anything. Great space and a very great host.
