Garden Retreat - Loire Valley

Our 'Garden Retreat' is a tranquil, elegantly furnished cottage overlooking a sunken garden. The accommodation has a bedroom (queen-sized bed), a fully-equipped kitchen, a sitting area with a sleeper-sofa, and a small office mezzanine. The garden is large with multiple places to sit and enjoy the shade or the sun. The Loire River itself is only 150 yards from the flat. Large individuals take note: the shower is a standard 67cm x 67cm. Although we love pets; but we have a one pet only policy.

The heated pool (open May to Sep) is in a quiet, separate and secure courtyard with an established garden. The Gîtes have been lovingly restored with natural stone walls and beautiful oak beams full of charm and character, perfect for families to come and relax, enjoy the weather and good food.

The old house

The old house of the Guissinnières is located in the heart of the Loire Valley between the pretty villages of Gizeux (and its superb castle) and Parçay-les-Pins in the Angevine countryside. Surrounded by orchards, vineyards, La Vieille Maison has a kitchen/dining room/living room with the charm of exposed beams and a bread oven. The bedroom is equipped with a king size bed (180 x 200) and overlooks the private garden. A folding extra bed is provided for an extra person.

Coco Studio gîte 20 km from Saumur

Ideal location to discover the region: castles, vineyards of the Loire Valley, zoos of La Flèche and Doué-la-Fontaine, Saumur Horse City, etc. Studio renovated in 2023, air-conditioned and equipped with a combined ceramic cooktop/oven/dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and TV. The mezzanine bedroom with a ceiling height of 1.60 m at the highest, accessible by a miller's ladder is ideal for a young couple.

We would like to share it with anyone looking for a peaceful countryside, with views of deer and wheat fields. With its 4 bedrooms and large garden, it is the perfect place to spend a pleasant time with family or friends, not far from the Loire, its vineyards and castles.
