Farmstay holiday rentals in Vila Real District

We had a great stay in the "Casa da Mata". Lost in the heart of the winery and on the edge of the forest, this house full of old-fashioned charm, well renovated and comfortable, is perfect. Every room has a beautiful view! But the best view is from the terrace where we had all our meals. We also loved our interaction with Fernanda, the best host you could hope for. And his kitchen is a delight! Fernanda feasted us with good garden products, fig tomatoes & eggs.. And very good bread, brought every morning!!! We can only thank her again for her kindness. We will keep in mind this beautiful week perched on the heights of the Douro for a long time. I forgot: the pool and common areas also added a nice plus value to this week.

The beautiful complex is an oasis in the somewhat bustling environment of the city of Vila Real. Ins and her people are very friendly and extremely nice, without being intrusive. Every morning fresh bread is brought to the house, great service, also the daily cleaning of the bungalow is very pleasant. The garden areas are very well maintained, the pool is cleaned daily, the water is super clear and refreshing. Our bungalow was more spacious than it looked like in the pictures and wonderfully cool due to the thick granite walls even at 33 degrees outside temperature. The excursion tips are lovingly drawn and well thought out. All in all, the four of us had a wonderful week at Ines. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and it was nice having two bathrooms. The patio was nice to enjoy too with great views all around. We had a car with us and we're able to park it across the street in an off street parking space. Julio was kind to give us a quick talk about the region and a taste of his delicious port wine.

This place ought to be officially recognized as a national treasure! The house and grounds are full of historic charm and the scenery is spectacular. The farm fresh breakfast was truly impressive and the hospitality was top notch. We stayed for two nights but would have been very happy to have stayed for an entire week if our schedule had allowed for it. Many thanks to the owners for creating such a wonderful guest house and for the warm welcome and great sightseeing tips. It was the highlight of our trip from Canada.

This little farm is a true haven in the middle of nature! The outdoor space is simply magical — spacious, full of beautiful nooks and crannies and with animals that delighted the children from start to finish. Those were days of great peace, fresh air and smiles, lulled by the wonderful sound of the water always flowing in the pool. The house is very well equipped, cozy and designed for all ages. Inês was an exemplary host, always available and attentive, and Dona Doras also deserves a special thank you for her prompt and kind help. We will treasure this experience with great affection! Great hosts make a stay fantastic. Puri and Paulo are certainly the greatest hosts we have encountered ever. They elevate their quiet and peaceful apartment by their incredible generosity and friendliness. We arrived late afternoon to a welcome plate of local meats and cheeses all of which were delicious and the best that we have had on our visit to Portugal. We were expecting to have to find a local restaurant for dinner - however Puri had a roast chicken ready for us due to the late arrival! A proper free range country chicken - full of flavour. The fridge was stocked with breakfast items including lovelly fresh fruit and jams made by their small company - some of the best blueberry jam I have ever eaten. Paulo very kindly found a winery visit that was open (during harvest) and booked it for us and suggested some view pionts we should visit. Quanta Terra is in a must see building with great wines and a perfect host. Saddly that we only could stay 2 nights - we will be back.

Great stay with our two dogs! The scenery is beautiful. The house full of stories. The pool is a real plus. The neighborhood is very friendly. There are two many walks to do in the area and many with swimming nooks. We recommend 100%!

Carla was very responsive to any issues we had. Very helpful and friendly despite the language differences. Casa Sophia is a perfect as a base for exploring the northern region of Portugal.

Great place among the vineyards. Extremely sweet and hospitable people who let you eat their grapes and taste their homemade wine and port. Had a wonderful stay and everyone and recommend to stay here.

Beautiful apartment in a stunning location. Wonderful beds and linen. Pool was very well kept and great for a refreshing dip. Hosts were very friendly and had great recomendations. The view across the valley was outstanding. Short drive to Pinhao. The owners offered us their own wine and port which was delicious.

La Quinta is located in a beautiful quiet environment. It has air conditioning and a very nice terrace for breakfast. It's the perfect place to rest, hike in the natural park or take a trip to the Douro Valley about 40 minutes away by car. Ana is very available and has good tips for finding activities in the surroundings.

The place was spectacular and was very well maintained and clean. The breakfast provided was sumptuous and plentiful. On the whole was a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Beautifully furnished, clean house equipped with everything you need. The location is extremely quiet, so you have the feeling of being the only house in the area. The complex is very well maintained and the pool is large enough for swimming. Communication with Carla is uncomplicated and friendly, we always had the feeling that we could turn to her in case of problems. We enjoyed every second and there is nothing to complain about. If we choose Portugal again, the accommodation and Carla will be our first choice.

Little gem lost in the mountains. It takes a little drive to get to Quinta do Réal but it deserves a little effort. Friendly welcome and perfect place to rest.

Beautiful house by the lake, in a very peaceful village. Had a wonderful stay with my girlfriend and we couldn't be happier!

I can't say enough about how incredible this Airbnb was, Carla and her property were so beyond expectations. My family and I felt extremely comfortable there, it is remote but absolutely beautiful. We were not able to use the pool, because the weather was a little bit cold. I jumped in for like 20 minutes and even though it was cold it was very nice. Carla was so communicative the entire time we were there, she made lots of helpful suggestions and helped us to book a tour around the Douro Valley and surrounding areas. She and a friend also cooked us breakfast every morning, which was delicious and helped us to start our day. 10 out of 10, I would absolutely return.

Beautiful house with a beautiful view. We really enjoyed our stay, and Elisabete was very easy to communicate with and responsive to anything we needed. She even provided a crib. Thanks so much for hosting us!

Ana was a great host, the apartment was fully stocked and had so many special additions, like meat, cheese, and bread, fruit, eggs, and other breakfast foods in the pantry. Fresh bread on the door in the morning!! Wine in the refrigerator😃 Pinhao is great to explore and be a homebase. It was wonderful to relax on the balcony and play cards in the living room after a long day of fun.

Absolutely loved Maria’s property. The villa was amazing, the pool was great and the access to another property for walking and fresh eggs was incredible! Both the kids enjoyed the pool and the grounds and the peaceful nature of the villa was really enjoyable. Maria and her husband were attentive and helpful but left us to get on with our holiday and answered any questions we had quickly as well.
