Skjoldastraumen is an idyllic and quiet place with the possibility of several activities and excursions. The place is probably best known for its saltwater locks that opened in 1908. The saltwater locks are the only ones in Norway that are still in use. The sandy beach at Notaflåt is centrally located and provides bathing opportunities on a nice summer day. Nyt fuglesang blant eiketrærne på tomta, og kjenn korleis kvilepulsen kjem for store og små. Her får du oppleva hytta Knausen som ble bygd i 1940 og har beholdt det meste av sitt originale preg. Her er sengene bygd inn på romma, det er ikkje Wifi og oppvask må tas for hånd. Men, plasseringen kan gi ro i sjelen med nydelig sjøutsikt ut Ålfjorden, stor eigendom med masse naturtomt, tilgang til strand, fiske og kort vei til Ølen, Etne, Odda/Trolltunga, Haugesund og Karmøy.

Here you can enjoy the days in calm surroundings with nature close by, either in and by the cabin or by using the amazing nature that surrounds the cabin. The cabin has recently been completely renovated and contains a living room and kitchen in one, 3 bedrooms with room for 6 - 8 people, bathroom, basement with washing machine, internet and TV. There is easy access by car all the way to the door.

There are also a number of hiking opportunities/ top tours in the nearby area. Sandeid is located about 50 km east of Haugesund and about 110 km north of Stavanger.

Flott hytte til utleie i naturskjønne omgivelser. Hytten ligger ved Stordalsvatnet og er 5 minutter unna Etne sentrum. I vassdraget finnes ørret, sjøørret, laks og røye. Fine naturopplevelser er kun en kort kjøretur unna og flotte turmuligheter "rett utenfor døren". Kjøretur på Nasjonale turistveier til Hardanger kan anbefales hvis du ønsker å utforske den vakre vestlandsnaturen og den kjente attraksjonen Trolltunga og den spektakulære Langfossen.

Stedet består av en stor eiendom ut mot fjorden. Rikelig med plass inne og ute: Fem soverom, store terrasser og grøntområder. Utedusj og badstu med fjordutsikt. Stedet er et gammelt småbruk. Det ligger i et svært rolig område med gode muligheter for tur og fiske. Otertong friluftsområde er rett ved. Mellom Stavanger og Bergen/Hardanger. 30 min til Haugesund, 1 t 50 min til Odda (Hardanger og Trolltunga). Leies ut for første gang 2026.
