"La Fortezza" villa with sea view

La Fortezza is a villa surrounded by greenery and the absolute quiet of its private park, among centuries-old olive trees, a grove of oaks and an orchard. It is located on a hill, just 6 km from the crystal clear sea of Polignano a Mare (BLUE FLAG SINCE 2008 and 5 LEGAMBIENTE SAILS) with its wonderful sea caves to discover by boat. The villa is made exclusively of stone, wood and glass, on two levels, and is characterized by the presence of one hectare of park, a large panoramic terrace overlooking the sea, and a solarium. Inside the park, to stay in perfect shape during your vacation at La Fortezza, a fully equipped gym is available to guests (free of charge) with an elliptical, bench and dumbbells, punching bag and gloves, and total body workout equipment. The wood-burning oven and barbecue are available for guests to prepare and enjoy pizzas, focaccias and outdoor grills. The panoramic terrace, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the expanse of olive trees, white farms, sky and sea, is about 40 square meters and is furnished with a large dining table in the shade of three holm oaks that "emerge" from the garden below: the wooden floor was built respecting the presence of the trees through the creation of the slots in correspondence with the trunks. Inside the park of La Fortezza you will find flowers and scents and many corners of paradise: rock seats where you can sit to read a book or listen to music, wooden sunbeds to sunbathe and enjoy the sunset breeze. You can pick seasonal fruits directly from the trees to enjoy their fantastic flavor. In the orchard, two rows of lavender to perfume your wardrobes in the city! The park is completely fenced with an electric gate, alarm system and private security service.

What a place! A beautiful unique home in a very private spot. The pool was superb and a lovely temperature without heating. Lovely quality, comfortable furniture both inside and out. The house stayed cool even without the aircon. Dominico was very helpful and answered any queries quickly and thoroughly. Just one thing and it’s personal preference as we like to cook…. The oven and hob were a bit complicated, perhaps the manual could be left in the kitchen which incidentally is equipped with everything you could possibly need. We loved the town of Martina Franca, absolutely beautiful 🤩 We recommend Non solo carni - Braceria Macelleria in Castellana Grotte if you like a great steak! Thank you for an amazing stay we recommend your special home 100%!

We had a fantastic stay. Danny was so helpful and so responsive, always at the end of a message. The buildings were so clean and up to date, whilst maintaining their character. The pool was fantastic! The only thing I would say is there are quite a few little stones around the patio so you need a good sweep and hose to prevent them being walked into the pool/house. The kitchen is very compact but who wants to cook anyway when there are so many lovely places to eat ☺️ The nearby town is really lovely, you definitely need a car to stay here. Thanks again Danny.

We had a fantastic stay in Angela’s trullo. It felt more spacious than it looks in the photos and is modern inside with the air conditioning units and plenty of plug sockets. We loved the pool, which was shared with other guests but big enough that you wouldn’t feel on top of each other. The location is great for visiting both the coast and various inland towns.

We stayed at Antonio’s place first 5 days and it was great! The place is very quiet and piecefull! The place is very central to everything nice to see in the region! Antonio was very responsive and helpfull on any thing we asked! I would recommend this place as great place to enjoy and relax as well as to visit all the nice cities around (monopoli, matera, polignano)
