Gostámos imenso da Casa de Pedra e do senhor Carlos. Sempre prestável, adorámos falar com ele e ouvir as suas recomendações. A casa estava impecável, com tudo o que era preciso. Um ambiente muito calmo, com redondezas incríveis para uns passeios com o nosso cão. Recomendamos imenso!

The house has a unique style and is a special place in the most positive sense. It has everything you need (e.g. well equipped kitchen) and the hosts are always ready, reply quickly and are really friendly. The cons: the house has a pool as shown in the pictures; when we were there it was empty, maybe it’s only full during summer. In the house, it can be a bit cold (in May), there is a small electric heater that warms the house to some extent. The hot water is very limited, we had problems getting two showers out of it. Overall the location is quiet, although you do hear the village dogs barking during the night and sometimes you can hear some car noise from the distant street down the valley which didn’t really bother us a lot.

This place is the perfect getaway to relax, unwind, and be in the beauty of a working farm, but close to the park if you feel like getting out and about. I had difficulty with the directions getting there because I am unused to driving through very thin cobblestone roads because in America, we do not have that, and Rui was completely responsive and extraordinarily helpful every step of the way . When I got to the place, I just felt like it was magical and it was a beautiful and perfect location and I wish I would’ve stayed for a week . I did venture out and see lots of gorgeous highways but coming back to this tiny home just felt like coming back home. The history of the farm is so incredible and the place is just exquisitely done.

This place has so much to offer! After an easy and flexible check-in, we enjoyed our incredibly clean tiny house with the comfortable bed, the nice bathroom and the little heating stove. We spent two relaxing days on the quinta, strolling around the vineyards, soaking in the freshwater pools, saying hi to the farm animals and observing the birds (orioles, hoopoes and more) and lizards. It was absolutely wonderful. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful and we still had all the privacy we could have asked for. We're already wishing to go back!

Richard and Ishbel offer a very special home, allowing you to get off the grid and be surrounded by beautiful nature while also being very close to many amenities - gas, grocery, cafes and restaurants within a 10mins drive. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly, and live next door and are very respectful of your privacy and helpful with providing suggestions. They have a large property that is a paradise for kids to explore with rabbits, cats, dogs, ducks and chickens - and even horses across the stream at another property.

Quel bel endroit pour se tremper dans l'ambiance du Douro. Même le chemin sinueux pour y parvenir y contribue... une fois apprivoisé. Les instalations sont parmi les meilleures que peut offrir la plateforme AIR BnB, parmi les logements de la catégorie en cause. Félicitations pour l'aménagement des lieux.

A estadia foi incrivel, o ambiente era muito calmo e agradavel. A casa estava muito bem preparada e não faltou nada. O nosso host foi extremamente atencioso e mostrou-se disponivel para qualquer coisa. Super recomendo para qualquer pessoa que quiser ter uns dias sem o stress da cidade. De certeza vamos voltar!!!!

We had a wonderful stay at William place this weekend . Our little hut is exactly as described - very clean, private and comfortable. We enjoyed the nature and the quite surrounding. We also tried the outdoor sauna which is absolutely wonderful. There are many beautiful villages, weekend market and hikes to explore . Willima is a great host and very communicative. Here's a polished version of your note: Just a note about getting there (William's Place and the surrounding area): the mountain roads are winding with many turns and twists, making it a quite exhausting drive. We recommend this place if you want a restful off grid weekend :)

Perfect stay!

Minha estadia neste alojamento foi simplesmente impecável. O local era extremamente limpo, organizado e oferecia uma atmosfera de total tranquilidade. Um verdadeiro refúgio de paz! O check-in foi o melhor que já experimentei, superando todas as expectativas. O anfitrião foi excelente: sempre disponível, atencioso e muito agradável. Com certeza, um lugar que recomendo e voltarei!

Estadia impecável, o Manuel foi um bom anfitrião sempre responsivo e amigável. O local era muito privativo, limpo e calmo, além disso, foi-me permitido levar o meu animal de estimação. Recomendo a 100%!

Such an amazing accommodation surrounded by grapevines and farmland. We arrived during the power outage of Portugal- they provided candles and water for us plus a delicious bowl of fresh fruit. Thanks

We had a fantastic stay at the tiny house! Surrounded by nature, you can really notice the passion and craftsmanship that went into the project. Giel and Karin have set up the perfect holiday getaway, with great eye for detail - they were very welcoming and offered all kinds of great services, from a delicious breakfast to special dinner nights where they make use of local ingredients. This stay was definitely one for the books! We hope to come back.

A Dn. Lira, é uma pessoa muito amigável, flexível, simpática e disponível, guiou-nos até á quinta e apresentou impecavelmente o espaço (adoramos a iniciativa e praticalidade da entrega e inclusão do pequeno almoço pela manhã mesmo sem horário fixo, ~9-10h, o gesto do pão "fresquinho", compota e café etc, foi muito bem recebido). Existiu flexibilidade no check-in e check-out, sendo óptimo. O espaço é uma antiga quinta, rodeada de espaços verdes e sombrios, campos, com pequenas acomodações á volta da quinta, com dois a três acessos á vila pela vedação emurada. A piscina e o espaço á volta são muito agradáveis, mas com acesso partilhado. Pela nossa experiência, bem frequentado por pessoal calmo e educado. É de notar que o espaço fica inserido num contexto de campo, onde alguns animais/insectos podem aparecer, e conviver nas áreas comuns. O aspecto/limpeza do espaço é típico/rústico do campo. As características do local corresponderam 100% ao descrito. Experiência 5*. Obrigado! 🙂
