Holiday houses in Volpajola

Het doel van mijn verblijf was: ervaren hoe het leven op Corsica is buiten het seizoen en in een echt Corsicaans dorp. Ondanks dat ik er geen werk had en ik het soms jammer vond niet “even” van “mijn” berg af te kunnen voor een broodje en natuurlijk een “étrangère” blijf, is het qua gevoel toch aardig gelukt. Na 3,5 maand voelt het dorp en de omgeving heel vertrouwd en voel ik me bijna familie van Françoise en haar moeder. We liepen de deur niet plat, maar ze waren, al spreken ze alleen Frans en Corsicaans, enorm toegankelijk. Ik mis de omgeving en ben nu al op zoek naar een mogelijkheid om er weer naar toe te gaan.

This place is a real treasure! It's beautiful, with everything you could possibly need provided. Florian was really helpful, checking in regularly and giving great recommendations for food. A peaceful week, in a beautiful villa, resting, relaxing and enjoying everything Corsica has to offer!

To say that we (2 adults, 3 kids, 2 seniors) enjoyed our stay would be an understatement. This place is magical, like a fairy dream world with enchanting views, a beautiful pool (+ pool house, including fridge and cooktop), multiple corners on the property to tuck away (including suspended day beds and a hammock), not to mention everything you need to prepare delicious meals. The furniture and beds are comfortable. Each of the 3 upstairs rooms has its own private terrace with furniture. Our kids loved roaming the grounds, picking cherries, playing boules. We spent hours each day in the pool. As well, Francois Xavier went above and beyond to help make our stay fantastic. He helped us navigate the mountain road the first time (it is narrow but well-maintained; we got used to it), and helped us plan day trips (Bastia and Corte). He is unlike any Airbnb host we have ever had, and this is unlike any Airbnb we have ever rented, in the best ways possible. We would love to return.

La vue de cet appartement est absolument incroyable (la meilleure, tout séjour confondu à Bastia). Quel plaisir de prendre le petit-déjeuner le matin. La décoration est sobre et soignée, ce qui donne au lieu une atmosphère paisible en adéquation avec la vue sur mer. Le logement est bien équipé, et de petites attentions sont prévues. La literie de la chambre est très bonne également. Marie Noelle a été très réactive à chacune de nos questions. L’extérieur du bâtiment et les parties communes ont l’air d’être encore en rénovation, ce n’était pas dérangeant, ça ne le rendra que plus beau dans le futur. Conclusion : vous ne pourrez pas être déçus.

This is a beautiful and extremely clean apartment with amazing views. It has all the amnesties needed for a great air bnb stay in a foreign country. It is also located in the heart of the cultural area central to all the best tourist attractions of Bastia, which we greatly enjoyed. On this note, please be mindful there are 5 steep staircases to climb in order to reach the apartment which is understandable as this is an old building. This would definitely be a physically challenging task to someone unable to carry their own luggage up this many steps. It wasn’t an issue to me as my husband was with me, but it is something to strongly consider. Overall it was a very nice stay and I do recommend it.

We only stayed in this beautiful cabin for one night, but it was nowhere near enough, we didn’t want to leave! From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a hidden piece of paradise. The cabin is stunning, blending perfectly with the surrounding nature, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We loved cooking in the little kitchen and the incredible outdoor shower with hot water and panoramic mountain views made it feel like something out of a dream. The garden is peaceful and full of charm, and one of the absolute highlights was the special outdoor suspension seat where you can lie back and gaze at the stars.I even saw the Milky Way. It was such a magical, grounding moment. Even though our stay was short, it left a big impression. The host has created something truly special here, a thoughtful, beautiful, and deeply connected to nature. If you’re looking for a unique, soul-soothing experience, then this is it.

Ce séjour était parfait. Marie Pierre a été très accueillante et toujours très disponible. Le logement était parfait. C’est vraiment un havre de paix ou l’on se ressource. La maison était parfaite, très propre, très fonctionnelle et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Tout était parfait.
