Our village is located very close to ancient city of Petra and it's a perfect place to explore the real Bedouin life. Feel safe to walk around the village, meet the local people, interact with them and learn about our stories, history and culture. My family and I will be your host and we will provide you with any help or advice you need. You can join with us traditional meals, shisha, tea, music and dance.

Petra bedouine culture house

We are a local homestay located in Uum Sayhoun, a little village next to Petra. We are located 2.5 km away from the main entrance of Petra and only a 5 minute walk from the second entrance. Me and my husband are both from bedouin families, who originally lived in the Caves before Petra became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. Our families were moved to the village where we lived ever since. We provide communal space, bathroom with hot shower, a shared kitchen and prepared meals, tours.

My Bedouin husband, Salah, and I would love to show you a local experience. You will be no more than 2.5 kilometers from the main entrance of Petra. We can organize different guiding tours and transportation, but you are close enough to walk to Petra and explore as well.
