In 2019 my husband and I set out to renovate this old pool house into a self-sustainable apartment or tiny home in our backyard. The Roll Inn is a very unique home. Having been built in 1870 it was built 44 years after Grand Rapids was founded. The home was originally a barn but was converted to a house in 1863 after the cathedral of St Mary’s was built . The house is located downtown and is in an area that currently is developing .
