Perfectly located for an easy walk into the village and Port Campbell beach, or a quick drive at sunset to catch the Apostles all aglow. A fun, character-filled and beautifully thoughtful place to stay. Irena was super responsive, informative and proactive, no matter the message. We’d stay again and next, make time to simply sit and read on the balconies and watch the millions of stars appear. Magical.

Bree and Matthew deserve high praise for the way they maintain and present Lawson’s on Lava. Location is excellent. Parking space out the back great for unloading. Inside, the renovated bathroom and kitchen are spotless, brand new tapware and tiling. The heating and split system keep everything comfortable. The carpets were new and recently vacuumed, the beds were clean and well covered. But we loved the attention to detail. All the small stuff you need is there. And a small booking issue was taken care of quickly with no fuss. Bree was responsive and happy to help. A really great experience all around.

A perfect place to unwind!! The field guide is very detailed and if you find yourself unsure about something prior/during your stay you probably didn’t read the field guide (like me haha). But the host of very friendly and a quick response settled all my queries. The stated distances to walk up to the cabin are correct and not an exaggeration, so just be aware. Ocean views (just), kangaroos aplenty, and cosy woody stove, what more could you ask for? I definitely hope to return one day :)
