Beachfront holiday rental in Washington County

We were looking somewhere particularly animal friendly where we could have our pup off leash with plenty of space to roam but also not crowded. This getaway was perfectly suited to our needs. Seeing the deer and even a fox roaming the property was a peaceful experience. The cottage was cozy with many personal touches and had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We could easily get to everywhere we wanted to go. We have no complaints and would highly recommend this getaway. This area is just far enough away from the crowds of Acadia and Bar Harbor but easy access, safe and pleasant. It is also absolutely beautiful.

We had a wonderful stay at Jesstine’s cabin! This is our second summer staying here with our two kids and two dogs. The location is incredible and the cabin has everything you need. We hope to come back for many summers!

This was our second stay here with Teresa and Bill. We just love these old Maine cabins with so much character and water views. Everything was easy, and the cabin was immaculate. We've already booked our next stay. Thank you Teresa and Bill!

John's place is absolutely beautiful and homey! The house has been totally renovated in the winter of 2025 and is very lovely, classy, on-trend in ways that make this seaside cottage feel so refreshed, current and relatable. And that's just the INSIDES! The deck overhanging the rocks to the shore is THE perfect place to hang out: start your day here with a mug of hot coffee. Have lunch and cocktails in the afternoon/evening while viewing the unspoiled, gorgeous bay. Nature and serenity are what this place is ALL about! Enjoy the total peace, privacy and happiness this home provides. It's a true gem!

Loved our stay at this home! Outside there was a large yard for our dog to play, and a deck with a gate to keep her in! Also a nice fire pit, and watching the lobster boats was fun. The house was spotless and cozy, with everything we needed for our short stay. Wi-fi worked well, 2 large streaming TVs did too, although we spent a lot of time looking out the windows or on the deck. Location is very quiet, peaceful and private. There were helpful small instruction labels on where to turn on lights, where things were located, etc. What a great idea! Jeremy was very responsive to my messages. It was an easy drive to the Schoodic Peninsula. Wish we could have stayed longer.

A great place to weather a storm! We were greeted by a rare nor’easter so we weren’t able to hike around much but we enjoyed having coffee and looking out the windows at the gorgeous view. There was a bit of a snafu with the cleaners that take care of the property, but Brian was very responsive and apologetic and offered multiple solutions. The bidet in the bathroom downstairs was a bonus!

We booked Mary's place for three coworkers while they were in a job in Calais. They reported that it was awesome and much preferred it over the meager solutions out that way. Very nice and reasonable option.

It was a very comfortable and cozy home, well appointed, with a helpful and responsive host. We would love to return!

The little tiny cottage was very sweet and well equipped. It is literally on the edge of a bank overlooking the bridge to Beals Island and the ocean. We were very comfortable, just know that it is very small! On google maps I searched beforehand to see if there were any grocery stores, and there are! They just don't show up on Maps- a big store and several convenience stores in the town of Jonesport. The house and the cottage next door are closeby, everyone was very nice including the very big dog. We have friends who live nearby and the drive over to Harrington back roads was so pretty. We enjoyed a walk on Sand Beach and the Great Wass Island Preserve (again, Maps sent us to the wrong place, so find better directions, it is down a long road, and lovely.) The bed was comfortable, the heat welcome, and I'd love to return to Heather's place!

This Oceanside home is a special retreat! Easy to find and very private! With a large yard and fire pit, steps to the water, and walking trails this home has everything you want if you like to explore unspoiled coastal areas. The space is humble, clean, open and airy. The comfortable beds and two full bathrooms make for an easy stay. If you are a foodee you may want to bring your own special kitchen tools or check with Mai to see if she has what you need. All in all very special place I would definitely go back to. Some local restaurants are fabulous but seasonal.

We had a great stay at this cabin. Suzzane was very responsive and helped us check-into the cabin even though we reached a little late. The cabin was extremely pretty and well maintained and had a well equipped kitchen. The surroundings were beautiful with a quick walk to the waters. We also enjoyed the fireplace. Suzzane and Tom were helpful and sweet. Had a great stay overall.

We absolutely felt at home! Susan made the whole trip easy, she provided clear instructions made herself available and left plenty of household supplies if we needed them. It was such a beautiful location we spent every day playing on the water and looking at the stars at night! We would definitely repeat this trip!

Little camp was perfect for me- would be great for a couple with a 1-2 young kids or just the couple. Lake is pristine. Mark was very responsive to a couple issues I had and fixed them right away. Would stay again FYI the water access is down very steep hill- just be aware. No problem for most people (or me). Just didn't see it in the listings.

We booked this space for my parents from South Africa and they had a delightful stay at Eastport. The hospitality from our host,Janet, enhanced our experience. She went out of her way to make us feel at home and we could not wish for a more attentative host. The unit was pristine clean and beautiful and we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. This is such an amazing place. I felt lucky to see not one but two eagles fly right over the house. The sparrows put on a fine show on the cove. Saw satellites and so many stars. And the quiet is deafening. Thank you Anne.

First, thank you Robert for sharing your beautiful location with the rest of us. I am a Mainer and I can’t tell you this is one of the prettiest coastal locations you will find. It is truly at the end of the world. The house was amazing and very clean. The area is so quiet and relaxing. The deer that live in the back yard, you can almost touch, but don’t because they are wild animals. A true gem!!

We enjoyed our stay at Ashleys's home. It is a beautiful, peaceful and lovely location, with great proximity to Acadia National Park, Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Institute. Our family enjoyed watching the lobster boats in the morning and noodling around the peninsula. It was a very comfortable space, with a well stocked kitchen and dining area.

This was a beautiful peaceful setting in a great location to access Acadia National Park. The cabin was very comfortable with everything we needed. Shasta was a terrific host and communicated in an extremely timely manner when we had questions. The swing out on the lake and the second floor outdoor deck were great to enjoy after getting back from a long day. The lake itself was pristine and had a gorgeous fall foliage backdrop. If nature is your thing, but with modern amenities, this is your place to stay.

Beautiful place with everything you need for a low key getaway. Not a bad drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia but with better peace and quiet in the mornings and evenings! Definitely would recommend

This house is absolutely amazing, every detail was thought out through. The kitchen is perfect for a family gathering and feast! The open layout, rooms and the views are just from a Hallmark Card. The host Beca was responsive right away with every question and request. The bomb fire outside is a must every evening! Absolutely recommend if you wish to stay in the area!

Amelie was a great host. If you want to be near Bar Harbor, it’s a bit of a drive. If you are fine enjoying the more secluded and peaceful beauty of Schoodic, it’s an amazing, magical place!

Mitch’s house on the point was incredible for our extended family’s vacation in Maine! It was so peaceful on the ocean and great to venture around the surrounding area. The home had everything you could need! Especially with 4 children in our group ranging from 1 to 13. We really loved having a fire in the fire pit every night we were there!

Sea Duck was the most beautiful, serene place! The house was wonderful and gave us the opportunity for lots of family time. Would make this a yearly trip!
