Loft in Tacoma

The Loft

There are 6 stairs to the front door and 18 stairs to get to the second floor unit. Once in, it's all yours to relax in the comfortable living space which is perfectly designed to meet your needs as if you were at home. I have a Sleep Number bed that you'll love and a fully equipped kitchen if your heart fancies to make use of it. However, it is easy just to order in and have a quiet/romantic time away from the crowd. On Thursdays, we have the DT Farmer's Market just half a block down the street from May to October. The Loft is perfectly suited for extended stay. Tacoma Link Light Rail is free between the DT stations so you will not need to worry about parking as you move around. There is also free trolley service connecting DT to Point Defiance Friday to Sunday during the summer months (check schedule for service dates). We are just two short blocks away from the DT Sounder Commuter and Sound Transit for easy rides to Seattle, Puyallup and all other places you may wish to visit. There is paid street parking available and it costs $2.00 for two hours Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 6:00pm and $2.00 for the entire day on Saturdays. There are many day long parking garages available within a two block radius, some of those offering all day early bird prices for as low as $5.00 if in before 10:00AM. My place is ideal for the working traveler and for couples but I can accommodate for more under special arrangement. My daughter is extremely allergic to cats and dogs so I cannot accommodate for that, unfortunately! The entire place is available. I keep supplies in the hallway closet but it is not a locked space. I am only a mile and a half away and am available. If I cannot be, I will designate someone to tend to any unexpected situation. For extended stays we are able to provide maid service for an additional fee. The Loft is in the center of the Tacoma Financial and Theater District, just a short walk to great restaurants and cafes, bars and breweries, parks, theaters, museums, the waterfront, the famous Antiques Row; an easy place to get to Mt. Rainier from for amazing hikes and communion with nature and much, much more. Check out the newest in tourism incentives at http://www.traveltacoma.com/tours/itineraries/3-day/your-pass-to-exploration/ and think of Tacoma as the up and coming destination. Downtown Tacoma offers free Light Rail service between the 6 downtown stations and free trolley service to Point Defiance on weekends during the summer months. For other travel needs, the bus station is only a two minute walk from The Loft and from there, you can mobilize to any place you wish to. The schedules and routes are available online. Additionally, you will have easy access to taxi, Uber, Lyft and other forms of transportation. The Loft is located in the heart of Tacoma's updated downtown. As any city center would have it, there is great convenience of access to all services. I have ear plugs available to guests if noise becomes an issue but that noise is also part of the awesomeness of being right where the action is; and for parking, if longer than the two hour street parking limit during the day is required, there are many day long parking garages covered and uncovered in the immediate vicinity with the closest/easiest one located just on the street above and accessible by going around the Municipal Building next door or cutting through it during business hours. Please keep in mind that we are just a two minute walk to Sounder Bus Station and there is free public transportation to move around the fabulous downtown and to Point Defiance. The Loft is completely furnished and perfectly set up for you to move in bringing your suitcase only. I will be happy to discuss a discounted price for stay of a week or longer.

A secret passageway leads to a speak-easy-style bedroom, and then down to a private hot tub where you can soak while watching the sun set over Olympic National Park.
