Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Watauga River

My husband needed to stay in the area and Ricky’s place was very convenient. He had an amazing rest time.

Absolutely gorgeous location and the amenities were fantastic. Sadly we only stayed a single night but we enjoyed every part of the house. My wife and daughter were enamored by the creek and outdoor experience even though a flash rainstorm prevented us from experiencing it after dinner. Great place we recommend it!

We're still coming down from our jaunt up the mountain to stay at Tammie and Christian's little gem of modern cabin. Seclusion, well-stocked kitchen, layout, maintained property and a porch swing, exceeded our expectations to decompress for a few days after some stressful months. Most importantly, Tammie was extremely proactive in communicating instructions, checking in regularly which we find more value in these days than the property itself. Such. A cute house, decor was awesome. Perfect for our needs. Backyard was perfect- we built a fire and enjoyed a relaxing evening! Had coffee on front porch and was so close to everything we needed. So happy to bring our four legged family member!

Quiet little section of the neighborhood. It’s got all the charm of an older home. Our host Hugo was very responsive when we had a small issue.

Nate & Joes house was a nice and quiet place. Location was very good, and the backyard is great for anyone bringing pets! Bed was comfy and home was very well stocked!

Pie in the sky was perfect for our family of 5! The views were absolutely incredible. It had everything we needed to cook, relax and stay for the weekend. Our family has stayed at dozens of Airbnb’s and this was one of our favorites. Highly recommended!

It is very cozy for a short stay. It is about 14 minutes to Grandfather Mountain. Great communicating with Amy prior arrival, she greeted us at the entrance.

Quiet apartment over the detached garage. Beautiful property. Very clean and comfortable. Close to the cute downtown area and easy to access with any vehicle. Plenty of hot water, comfortable bed, and clean linens. Would certainly stay again.

What to write in such a small space! Kevin and Susie are precious folks. We got in late on our first night and Kevin helped carry our things upstairs. And chatted with us for a bit. Susie had made some AMAZING cookies for us. We loved the space of the apartment. It was clean, cozy and just as the pictures portrayed. The bed was so comfortable!!! We will definitely be staying here again. Roan Mountain is our me favorite place and Kevin and Susie have the best place to enjoy it! Thanks for having us ♥️

Loved it! It’s nestled about 15 minutes away from downtown. Good size for the price. The only odd thing was there was cookware but nothing to cook on. Will stay here again if we visit again.

Just returned from a long weekend staying at this Air BnB. Overall, it is in a wonderful and charming neighborhood within walking distance from downtown JC. Perfect spot to get away and unplug. We enjoyed the coffee at Fearless and OMG the food at Lazy Lady Bakes bakery (downtown) is also tremendous. This location is perfect just for that establishment alone. Do yourself a favor and book this Air BnB!

The Doe Branch Cabin was exceptional. Gracious and responsive hosts. Breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Homey and cozy cabin. My husband and I were looking for a relaxing stay in the middle of a road trip to FL - we found it 100%. Thank you to Amanda and Christian! 🌿🌼💕⛰️

Tranquil beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to a babbling Creek and enjoying the cool fresh Mountain Air. Enjoyed a stroll by the pond and watched the frogs and a chipmunks frolic. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Nicely furnished with comfortable seating and kitchen at all the needed amenities. Will definitely return again soon.

My family enjoyed the cabin very much! They said the view was beautiful, and they loved sitting on the porch. Heather was very responsive and kind.

We absolutely loved staying at Rivers Edge! Cutest little cabin with the best view! We got to see a fox across the river looking for some food and a family of deer crossing the river this morning before we left! Cabin was stocked with everything you need and the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in! We will be back and refer all our friends to stay at this mountain paradise!

We loved staying at the Trails End cabin with our kids. It was the perfect place and location for the outdoor activities we had planned. The children loved sleeping in the loft & we appreciated the little gift basket of goodies upon arrival. Would definitely stay again & would recommend to others!

We had a great time during our stay. The house was close enough to Asheville and plenty of things to do. The host and lots of great recommendations for food and hiking. We drove to upper creek falls and it was well worth the drive and hike.

We had a wonderful time. It was a beautiful, cozy, comfortable, and peaceful environment. We loved fishing , sitting on the porch rocking, and having a fire in the fire pit. We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful retreat while attending our daughter's wedding in Boone. The home is beautifully furnished, cozy, and perfectly located with easy access to both Boone and Blowing Rock. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the jacuzzi and spending time on the spacious outdoor decks — perfect for unwinding after a busy day. The host thought of everything, and the property felt like a true home away from home. We can't wait to come back again!
