Thankfully the space was much larger than anticipated. Absolutely spotless, very comfortable. I would note to make sure that your Bluetooth is switched ON so it can connect with the App to unlock the doors. Very easy process, just plan ahead to download the app provided in the instructions. Everything was within a short distance. I thoroughly enjoyed the coffee shop, which was only a few dozen feet away down the hill at the old Silk Factory where many food, brew, and other businesses reside. I made my way downtown and within a short time, made some new friends at some of the local haunts. The house itself is absolutely wonderful and peaceful. I didn’t have time to take advantage of the outside amenities. But it is quite private with a large outdoor space for barbecuing along with a hammock and outdoor hangs. The kitchen & Bathrooms were well equipped with everything that I needed. Very easy instructions, I will definitely stay here again!

The stay was wonderful and very picturesque. John was very communicative and provided great recommendations around the place. The highlight of the stay was definitely the three barn cats who guided us to the front door and were really friendly and a delight to be around. The area around the house is really serene and peaceful and was great to walk around. Would 100% recommend this stay!

My gf and I love this location. I am a local and when she comes to visit we rent this place! Its so nicely decorated and I love the brick walls. The apartment also offers little extras like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There are little containers with floss sticks, q tips and cotton pads. They also have complimentary coffee pods which is a blessing haha. The owners are so responsive and friendly I will book here every time my gf comes to visit! Thank you for a great stay in the heart of this adorable town!

Great location to enjoy Honesdale and nearby sites and towns. An easy walk to all of the local shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a great stay at the Birdhouse Hannah was a wonderful host! She also runs the eclectic cafe and gift shop below the apartment. The place was immaculate with plenty of room for the four of us. Nice bathroom with a great shower, Kitchen with all you would need, Lots of free parking nearby It is in the center of the town of Hancock so there were several food options, convenience and drug stores nearby, as well as nice antique shops if you wanted to shop. Would I stay there again?....We have already requested to book the same time next year!!!

Jackie was very friendly and accommodating. Her place is cozy and quirky. We enjoyed looking at all the pieces in the apartment. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfy. It was a short visit but would definitely come back to stay and explore more of the surrounding area. It’s also very convenient that it is located above a coffee shop with fresh pastries! We stayed here about four years ago for two months while our NYC apartment was being renovated and decided to come back for the long weekend - it's just as clean, well-appointed and welcoming as it was back then. Definitely recommend this old historic inn, especially since they've done a great job renovating the rooms and apartments. The town is also cute with a women-owned distillery right next door and an excellent wine bar across the street.
