I came to Barbara Jean’s home as a stranger simply renting a room for the week, and I left as a friend with a place to call home when I visit Detroit. She is both an amazing host and a great woman. Her home is spotless and a great place to rest while visiting the Detroit / Plymouth area.

I wish I good give Earl and his place 10 stars! He welcomed us with a smile and went above and beyond, helping us with any random things that popped up on our trip. He was so accommodating and provided a well stocked place to stay with all of the helpful things that made us feel right at home!

Honestly this was a great stay, great communication, and for the first time as a Muslim woman i feel included as there were prayer mats in the living room. And very clean home. Great great stay, will definitely come Back.

Heather is welcoming, honest in the description of the accomodations and upfront with expectations of the guest- be respectful to all who are sharing space. She is kind and easy to speak with. I had several conversations with her during my multi day stay and they were as comfortable as reuniting with a friend. Her communication with guests is very transparent, even going as far as to let me know she would be entering the bedroom (shared) to change linens and clean prior to another guest's arrival. My only recommendation is for FUTURE GUESTS, not Heather, READ THE LISTING THOROUGHLY. If you do and then proceed to book you will share in the beauty of a very cost effective, laid back, accepting environment that meets all the needs of a traveler.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Yatta is such a nice host it will make you feel like you are part of the crew. The place was super clean and the vibe of it makes you not want to go out, even when you have to. I’ll definitely come back to his place in the future if I need to. If you are thinking about this place, go ahead. Won’t regret it.
