Windy Island Homestead Cabin

EmilyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
I can’t say enough about Virginia and her amazing retreat. We were looking for a simple halfway stop on our way home from seeing family in the US and found this amazing space run by wonderful people. It was a treasure and we will be back. This beautiful family is forging a new way of living and travel that is sustainable and gives me hope. She is a great host if you have children and are interested in forest school and learning about local history and geography. My son was free to run and hear nothing but nature sounds and then we took the ferry everyday into Kingston to explore Canadian history and culture and eat amazing food. We went to the Wolfe Island hotel to eat local wonderful food and visited the stunning isolated beach every night at sunset. Wolfe Island is a place like no other. I had such a great connection with the host and her commitment to the earth and the future. Thank you Virginia!

Cozy Riverview Cabin Getaway

BrittanyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Perfect little getaway that my husband and I needed. Not too far from needing to go to town but in the woods enough that it was peaceful. We enjoyed the outdoors, fire by the river, and enjoying the sounds of nature. The screen door for the sliding door was one ofmy favorite things. During the day we used it to listento the rain, birds, and for the nice breeze. It was great to have that scenery while having a cup of coffee and read a book in the morning. Their DVD collection was awesome, nice variety with some great classics. My husband enjoyed a morning run through the area and told me it was the best place he has ran so far. I definitely wasn't expecting there to be any kind of food/seasonings and they had extra things in the cabin which was awesome since I forgot the sugar for my coffee lol. Overall we loved it and plan to do another getaway with them before we move.

Phoenix House: Charming Cabin in the Meadow

AllegraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed at the Phoenix house, took a long meander through the woods, borrowed the canoe for a paddle, decompressed in the sauna then relaxed on the sun-bed heated gently by the wood stove. All in all Rena and Co made us feel right at home and welcome to explore.

Lookout 2 Cabin on Charleston Lake

EbruRating, 5 stars11 months ago
It was simply a wonderful experience. It was a peaceful environment. The view was amazing, you could see the incredible lake and island view even from inside the house and the balcony was amazing. It was a dreamy place that I would definitely go back to. Also, our host was very helpful. They helped us with everything, I didn't think we would be this comfortable. It is a place that I can recommend to everyone with peace of mind. thanks for everything

Highview Haven

YananRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Great place to stay, the cabin is cozy and clean, we can still smell the pine wood that is the building material of the cabin. We came on the thanksgiving long weekend, this year it was very cold, fortunately we brought our winter jackets and sleeping bags. The host is very nice, you can ask for more comforts if you don’t have your own, otherwise it is too cold to sleep. We didn’t bring drinking water, but a general store is 3 minutes driving away. The fall scene was spectacular, the lake is peaceful, the host and her son were friendly and responsive. We may come again in summer when it is warmer.

Cozy Cabin on Crow Lake

JessicaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This place was beautiful and felt like home! There’s is not a lot of cell phone service only on wifi. The house had everything you needed, just when you thought you brought everything they already had it! Spices, pans, pots, tin foil etc. It is a very quiet area. There was a dock a few minutes away we launched our boat to go fishing as well! Will be back for sure!

Standing Stone - Hickory Lake

GillianRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We made the right choice! As a single mother with two teens, the house was perfect. All the amenities of home, but with the lake view & access. Swimming and kayaking replaced videogames for the week. So grateful to Kelly for providing this wonderful home for us for the week.

Cozy Cabin Escape near Kingston

EduardoRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My kids, my mom and I loved the place. Beautiful and cozy cabin, surrounded of amazing landscapes. It is very peaceful and quiet place to have a real rest-time. We stayed for few time (unfortunately) as we were doing some activities in nearest towns, but, ths place is incredible to be in contact with nature, to do hicking, fishing, and swiming in the lake and many activit. You can buy delicious apple cider (we bought also for to go), eggs, and many farm products (vinager, etc) for a very good price. If you read all the information provided by the land lord and follow the rules, this place will exceed expectations. We will come back for sure soon for more nights!. Thanks Stella and family for allocating us!

Quiet Cabin on Christie Lake

BrianRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Steph's place is a perfect lake getaway that leaves you wanting for nothing. The cottage itself is clean and comfortable, replete with an updated kitchen (and top notch BBQ), netted windows to let the breeze in, and beds that you won't want to leave... that is until you see the water. The dock is private and plentiful -- the place you will want to park yourself for plenty of sun and swimming. And if somehow you tire of that tranquility, there are many other seating areas distributed throughout to enjoy the peace and quiet. The photos truly don't do it justice... so if you haven't hit book by now, just do it (unless you're eyeing the next time I want to return!). Big thanks to Steph for hosting, the great communication, and leaving no detail left out.

Warm & Cozy Clayton Cabin Near St Lawrence River!

AaronRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The cabin is very well laid out, and very cute. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has about everything you could need for a stay. One thing worth noting, there are mini-split heat/AC units in the sunroom bedroom, and the master bedroom, so if you're checking in when outside temps are low, it takes the better part of 24-36 hours to get the whole house to a comfortable temperature. One more mini-split in the common area would do wonders. The Jacuzzi tub is very nice, the shower is powerful, and there's plenty of hot water all of the time. Location is private and quiet, with a walkable neighborhood and good views of the lake.

Osprey Landing Island Cottage, St Lawrence River

AileenRating, 5 stars11 months ago
We, a family with young kids, had a wonderful stay at this charming new-build cottage! From the moment we arrived, Steve greeted us with hospitality, providing boat rides to the cottage and ensuring we settled in comfortably. The cottage itself was immaculate, beautifully designed, and had all the modern amenities we could ask for. The highlight for us was the private beach access to the St. Lawrence River, where our kids enjoyed playing and swimming in the clear, refreshing waters from the private beach. The canoeing was fantastic; we paddled around the serene waters and took in breathtaking views of the river and surrounding nature. Fishing enthusiasts in our group were thrilled with the opportunities right off the dock. This island location was perfect for our family, peaceful yet close enough to charming towns of Thousand Islanda for exploring local shops, restaurants, and Boldt Castle. Thank you Steve for everything, we hope to return in the future!

Charming Wellesley Island Cabin Near State Parks

CalvinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We were very happy with our stay at the Cabin. The surroundings were private. The cabin was furnished comfortably, it really did feel like home. I have similar lighting in my own living room. I want to thank the owners for trying to accommodate my family on short notice. Even though we weren’t able to have more guests stay at the last minute, they were understanding, informative and kind. This my first ABB experience. I hope to come back. Thank you, Calvin O.

Bent Pine Retreat

ClarkRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Up for a long weekend for a fishing trip with a couple of buddies. The cabin is beautiful with all that’s neccessary for an enjoyable stay. Communication was great, very attentive to all questions. Dock was perfect for the 2 boats we brought(power at the dock which was important as the camp sits well above the lake with a tremendous view) Fire pit was great, listening to Loons calling was awesome! Will definitely recommend and plan to rent again. Just understand there are multiple stairs to climb from the water/dock to the camp, but several places to rest on the way up. We are all in our mid 50s and managed fine. Stephanie was a great host!

The Pines Riverfront Cottages - Cottage 1

CarineRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Mary Ellen and her husband are very charming and welcoming. The cottage is a little rustic but very well-equipped. And what to say about the environment, breathtaking! Quiet at the edge of the 1000 islands park, with squirrels and sunset!! You can also swim nearby. Recommended without hesitation!!
