Our self contained open plan Koru cabin (that sleeps 5) offers the perfect getaway escape for families & couples. Perfectly located between rainforest and the ocean with only a two minute walk (past historic gold dredge ponds) to the beach. Mussels can be gathered off the rocks at low tide, or you may be lucky and pick up pounamu (jade.) Soak in our outdoor hot tub & snuggle up in front of the log burner fire in the cooler months. Breakfast included.
“Great great place to spend the night while on the road. Lovely hosts, big space, and warm welcoming, we highly recommend this place to any traveler, couple or big families.”
Woodpecker Bay Bach is a rustic, cosy, New Zealand bach. If you want to escape the rat race... this is the place for you! Woodpecker Bay Bach is often fully booked - if your dates are not available - be sure to see my other oceanfront properties... Waihaha Bach, Te Tutu Bach and Waituhi at Whitehorse Bay :-)
“The absolute perfect getaway! Daniel's place was without a doubt the most beautiful spot I have ever stayed in and I will be sure to return again. Daniel replied to all messages straight away and the bach was filled with many thoughtful touches. My only complaint is that it was very hard to drag myself away and back to normal life afterwards.”
Our modern 1 bdrm cottage is deep in the countryside. No cafes, shops, street lights, light pollution and very few neighbours. Just birds, peace, bush and space. All amenites are a 10 minute drive away in Hokitika. With a king bed & a king single in one spacious bedroom, there is a separate lounge/diner/kitchen. An attached carport attached also contains the washer/drier. Please do not book, if you want a town location. The cottage is all about its remoteness and nature. (No Children sorry).
“This place is just exactly as described and reality is even better then the photos! All you need for a wee cosy cottage, fireplace is warming up the whole space even at night, everything you need, extra little details - candles, fresh tulipans on the table, fresh eggs and milk in the fridge and biscuits, lovely personal welcoming letter, fire was on when we got in and the radio as well = this all created very nice welcoming atmosphere. There's lots to do in the area - just mins drive from the cottage there is a wee walk through beautiful forest with some tunnels and mining history - much recommended also on a rainy day! We loved our stay, thank you Debbie! Jana and Jiri (Auckland)”
