Welcome to Black Bear Cabin. Overlooking the beautiful Daniel Boone National Forest and very close to Cave Run Lake and many popular hiking trails This is our families home away from home. We love this spacious and peaceful getaway and hope you do as well. This Cabin is a Rustic 3 Bedroom w/ Loft Area. It has 2 full bathrooms. Our kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals. On the deck is a relaxing hot tub, fire pit, and grill. In the yard is another firepit with adirondack chairs.

Setting back about 1/2 mile into our 375 acre farm is our Bowman Cabin. Kick back and relax in this beautiful open concept cabin on a small pond. It has many comforts of home such as electricity, heat/ac, running water. There is no wi-fi and cell phone signal varies however there is a tv w/antenna and a DVD/Blu-ray player. There is plenty of hiking . Laurel Gorge, Red River Gorge, Cave Run Lake and Grayson Lake are just a few attractions within short driving distance from us.

Overall, it was a great place. We enjoyed our stay and the host was great with local recommendations and always very responsive. We spent a lot of time out on the patio/deck area and my daughter loved the play area set up outside. The shower had great pressure and there was plenty of space. My family did not find the beds or pillows very comfortable and did not sleep very well, but everyone is different. Besides that, no complaints. Would definitely recommend.

We had such a lovely stay! The Airbnb was very cute, clean, and thoughtfully put together—it really felt like a home away from home. Scott was a wonderful host, very helpful and responded very quickly with any questions I had. Just be aware of trying to climb the steep stairs after a day of hiking! But the bed and the nice sheets made the climb worth it! The house had so many things provided and was well kept! We really enjoyed our stay and had peaceful nights on the patio with the lights. Even when the storm hit, we had power and got to hear the rain in the tin! So nice! Thank you Scott for the cleanliness and preparedness shown. Will stay here again!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the stay was over Memorial Day weekend. We hiked and came back knowing we would have the perfect place to relax for the evening. Bedding was very comfortable as was all the furniture. Bathroom spit spot clean and again soft linens. This will probably become an annual trip (if not more often) for our group of 4. The coffee/tea bar was an awesome touch!
